^^^This! I was being careful on my ledge drops and I still managed to bend my 1/4" steel Tcase skid... Ben even reinforced the hell out of it with angle iron. I had some hard hits here and there though. If I ran aluminum it wouldn't last very long. I think all the steel I have on my rig is what has kept me from bending my frame as well.

Yea buddy! gonna look niiiiice  And yes the skid did a good job, i've got a half inch between the skid and that little nub thing that hangs down in that area behind it. Skid is closer to the diff now but that's ok too still a few mils of clearance.

:D Wish i was there to see you totally locked out smoking up that climb!!!

Haha yea that thing is like tin foil, not even the heavy duty kind either :D Depends on the trail you run in moab but you can get by with little or no skids. The rebel taco (theTraveler aka Matt) had zero skids and ran hells just fine. Granted he's long travel and runs bigger tires but still.

I'm editing now! pics up in an hour or so

I still wish we would have got my smoke show on video!:pout:

Hell's doesn't require skids. Hell I ran it the first year with no armor and didn't take damage. I did bypass the 4 named obstacles though.

The factory one only really fits the TRD Offroads and they all come with one. Not that I would call it a skid... Its just a piece of plastic...

I also feel better about dicks drilling my tank and stealing gas like happened to Steve and the frv  yea the front bolts are waaaay up outta the way. The stock plastic one had more scrapes in it than I thought when I pulled it out.
