Just moved to Oxford for work. I've seen a few tacos in town wondering if any of them are on here.

Good luck with that Beau, seems most of the Taco peeps are south of us...

I just ditched my Taco and picked up the Runner in my Avatar. I'm really liking it.

That said, Oxford is a pretty nice little town. Bike trails, lake near, disc golf decent food for such a small place and a pretty good location. And lets not forget the oddly high density of...nice scenery

    Thanks man,

I've been having thoughts about getting rid of the taco and building an off-roader recently. The bike trails are awesome. I brought my 29er and had a blast Saturday. I need to find a group of ppl to go with. I'm happy with the area so far and the "scenery" is much better than I would have imagined.

Wait until fall. The view, on a per person basis, has to be one of the best in the world. :D:D

Ya, so I'm guessing you've been to Clear Creek? Have you played DG at the Ole Miss course yet...good place. I ride a TRX450r (not really the thing to have in the south right) but, I've got bud riding bikes (not mountain) at a newly opened place near Como I think...if you're interested I'll find out where it's at....

Have you been to the Library?

I just got here saturday. I havent been around much other than the old plant that the mnt bike trails are at. I have never disk golfed but i might have to pick it up. I get to walk the course at my apt complex for free so im gonna be doing that alot.

Is your TRX set up for road? If you ride dirt at all i have a kxf450 and im always game to ride that bad boy. I heard you can ride by the resi when they drop the water level. There is still alot more to the town that i cant wait to check out.

Oh ya you can ride the lakes (Enid or Sardis) when they draw down for the the winter months (Starts in July but, ride later). Mostly people mud bogging but, you get the guys that skim too...

If you follow Old Sardis Road (314 off Jackson just about a mile west of the square) that's also a bike trail that leads to Clear Creek (8 to 10 miles outside town) where there's some good moutain bike trails.

I only know of two DG course in town that's Old Miss (near Walmart) and Avent. Ole Miss is a sweet course, 23 holes. Avent, is in the park and is only 9 short tees. There are others close by but, I can't place any appartments with courses or am I reading that wrong...??

I'm a transplant too but, I've been here a few years. Feel free to shoot me any questions man...

Im at the Links at oxford. They have a lil 9 hole coarse to play. Its nice and free is free. I have heard about those mnt bike trails the guys at the bike shop said that they are pretty hilly and can get intense.

I appreciate it man. Where did you transplant from?
