hey all, ive got the front and rear bilstein 5100's on the way, from downsouthmotorsports, cant wait to get them installed, i would like to have a pretty smooth ride, but i cant figure out what to set the front struts to, i dont have the rear tsb, but if i have to, i will buy an add-a-leaf from wheelers offroad, i am not sure if i want a spacer just yet to fix the tacoma lean, but other than that, just i need all of your opinions on what i should set them to...

    thanks

Set them @ 1.75 and later when you get the aal set them @ 2.5" thats what i would do.

If you get the AAL, go 2.5''. If not, 1.75. :)

EDIT: I agree with socalman22.

im not worrying about the aal until i see if it sags too much, normally i have one or two 60 pound sandbags in the bed... for traction

but how will it ride at 1.75?

I would install the 5100's all around and set the front to 1.75. Then I would take it in for the TSB. Take advantage of the included alignment that comes with the TSB.

How hard is it to change the height setting. Like redoing the lift or just a few nuts and bolts.

You have to compress the coil again and readjust the shock to 2.5.

best place to buy-from sonny at downsouthmotorsports.com

    use the code BIL0509

i would suggest it for 282.99 (that includes tax and shipping)

u gain a lot more stability, a much better ride, and your truck will feel better all around

I like a slight front rake myself, so I'll fly solo on the .85 vote for now....

Gonna go .85 when I eventually get mine. This also keeps it looking good when you get a little load in the back.....from what I've seen in my researching anyway....
