I've put about 8k miles on my grabber at2s and I don't understand all the hate. For the price, I'm pretty impressed. I always ran the BFG A/T KOs on my old truck and I liked them, but so far the grabbers have been great. They were good in the snow, and I was really surprised how quiet they are on the highway. They may be heavier but I only lost about 1/2 mpg, so for the type of driving I do, I'm happy. As long as they wear well, I'll probably buy them again.

Subscribed for Duratrac alternatives as I'll be replacing my Duractracs this year.

so you mean a better tire that doesn't tear at the sight of rocks right?! how about the cooper st maxx - i'm very happy with mine and they have a much stronger sidewall than the duracrap and still have some siping for wet conditions, slightly heavier but where do ppl think durability comes from!?

Because your Toyo ATs are just so awesome....

Duratracs are a good tire. Grabbers are OK but it depends what you want to do. If you want to just show off your rig like some people then grab some Toyos and enjoy.

If you want to do some basic offroad/onroad driving then you'll want duratracs.

Mostly offroad then you'll want KM2s

Had grabber at2s had duratracs had hankook atm. Now have ta ko. I like the ta ko because they are quiet and don't throw the truck all over the place.

Hankook - worst out of the bunch. Would slip on wet grass.
Grabber - wow in snow. Great grip.
Duratrac- snow was great, rain was great. Loud as hell and shook like crazy. Never could get them balanced. And dropped them down to 25 psi and side wall looked ready to explode at a thump. Also had to turn up the radio to drown them out.
Ta ko - great all around on the road. Decent off road but if you get into thick mud you're out unless you spin the hell out of them to clean them out. I went through mud and did fine but I also didn't stop or go slow. Super quiet.

Just my opinions on those 4 tires. Interested in trying out the wrangler kevlar or the km2 when these run out. (Based on other users in 5 years )

Actually they are some of the best tires I have ever had. You seem to think I have some sort of mall crawler but I actually take my truck on some sort of adventure every weekend. You opinion is now invalid since you think Grabbers are OK tires they are pieces of shit in any terrain other than soft ass sand. When you know people that run them let me know and we can talk about it. Bring that 06 down to AZ and lets go wheel you bring your duratracs and we will barely have to leave a parking lot for them to fail lets see some pictures of your truck.

10 years of offroading and the best tires I've used are the MTRs and Truxus MT for this area. Duratracs are a great AT option. Grabbers ARE "OK" tires. They are quiet, wear nicely and are decent for dirt trails if someone is just camping.

You going to whip out your dick for measurement or what? No? So calm the fuck down buddy.

Toyo ATs suck balls for around here which is all rocks, mud and hard pack dirt. Not sand.

I have no interest in going to your shit hole of a country thanks.

Thats EXACTLY what he just fucking said dude. "Oh duratracs suck because my super awesome offroader with ifs doesn't run them around here" Whatever man.

Every different type of terrain has a different tread/sidewall required. He made a blanket statement saying they suck. In reality they don't. They may very well not be a good tire for his area but he made the blanket statement so I did aswell to illustrate the point. If you notice I quoted then my first sentence was a sarcastic remark on it.

Right. The guy who's been offroading for a decade and has built buggy's has no idea. But the guy with a basically stock pickup plus some bolt on parts and IFS is the clear expert.

Let me take note of that so I dont forget.

My Tacoma isn't an "offroader" Its a DD/Camping rig. You want to offroad properly build something for it. Aka old Yota with a bobbed bed.

    Really?

That's what comes out of you on a forum about trucks in a thread about tire preference?

Time to take the internet less seriously, my friend.

Why's your ass all sore about this shit? Its a damn tire. I was just pointing out your agreement with this guy was incorrect.
