Looks like Seattle just passed an ordinance for a $15 Minimum wage. I've got family that lives out that way, and they say that it's already crazy expensive to live out there. Pretty sure this isn't going to help that...

 

My building is about 500 yards from the end of the Hanscom runway.

Ya,they're cleaning up from the plane that crashed Saturday night, the white thing at the base of the orange crane is the nose of the plane.

 

Oh, ok. I had to adjust my sense of scale. I thought that the grass at the end of the runway was trees in the distance...
Still a big crane, but not as ginormous as I originally thought.

Was anyone hurt when the plane crashed? I didn't see anything about it on the news up here.

I know it's very sad, but watching the heavy equipment cleanup must still be interesting to watch.

Last I heard, they sent the black boxes to DC to be analyzed. Apparently, they were pretty burned up from the crash so they weren't sure how much info they'd get off them. The jet never left the ground, just went off the runway and burst into flames, killing all on board.

 

That was pretty crazy.
