    i'm pretty sure he was trying to build an ulta-4, and then realized the regulations were far too tight and just ended up with that lol.

    What kind of mileage should the serpentine belt last? Not sure if it's cause I went through muddy water when off-road, but my truck just shredded the belt. Changed the alternator out on Friday and the belt looked fine. Drove to Beaumont and back over the weekend and didnt have any problems but on my way home shit hit literally hit the fan going down BW8. Truck has 51k miles and all the pullies are smooth. Almost positive when I put the belt back on Friday everything was lined up properly since the 4 hour drive to and from Beaumont didn't give me any problems. Just curious if it was time or if dirty water F'ed my serpentine belt like it did the alternator.

    Seemed tight. I could barely get it around the alt pulley with the tensioner turned back all the way. I just spun and pulled all the pulleys none except for the PS pump had any play, the PS pump pulley went back and forth maybe an 8th of an inch
