Too much lift. Bind cv's, ball joints, and have no down travel.

It can be done, Silas put his on the second notch. But only because somehow he managed to sag the coils enough to be able to run it on the second notch.

    What everyone else said

Plus they give 3" of lift with no preload, so setting it to a higher notch would give way more than 3" which isn't safe without some serious suspension modification.

Dropped my extra set of wheels off at the media blaster.

    $15 ea.

Fine crushed garnet will be used. They put one of the wheels in there and shot a small patch of it. Comes out completely stripped of the factory finish with a very, very fine texture to it.

I think it'll work great with a few coats of primer and paint.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Nah just cool white smoke for days. I did 1/3 each on gas tank, oil and vacumn line.

Do it! I can deffinatly tell it helped, but I wasn't fully used to the SAS steering yet but it made a difference there so im sure with IFS it would make a great difference! Only takes about 30 minutes

Would you say it'd be easier to take the cluster out for an led swap with it all apart like that? Looks like you only take apart up to where you'd start getting at the cluster anyway. I have a bulb out and need to do the slip yoke mod so I'm thinking of waiting and knocking it all out at once.

As for what I did today... oil change and tried fixing my parking brake. Started tightening it and...

Oops. So I went to the store to see what I could piece together to replace it.

Turns out a turn buckle works perfect. You can get more adjustability, plus it won't twist in half like stock. Not sure if there's a difference here between 5 and 6 lug, never been under a 6 lug to check the e brake out

Yes basically pull the lower plastic down, remove the covers around the steering column right behind the wheel then unplug everything right there.. You may or may not want to un hook the battery due to airbags but I did not. then take the bolt out of the steering shaft u joint and then its just 4 14mm bolts holding the steering column up, after its out there are two allen head bolts closer to the wheel itself if you turn the whole column up by standing it on the face of the steering wheel... once those bolts are out the ignition cylinder will slide off the shaft at which point you bend the slip joint to a 90* and it just comes off the ball socket then weld and repeat in reverse.. literally a 30 minute job if I hadn't taken the time to unhook the un used alarm system in my truck andhad the fuse box and everything else taken out.. over half the wires in my first pic are now gone, finally!

Is that mod suppose to reduce a clunk time feel with the steering every once in a while?

Yes! it deffinatly took care of that and im glad I finally did it, but it also reduces the play in the steering wheel. I could move my wheel upto 1.5" side to side before the tires would turn and its significantly less now but more important to me was getting rid of that dang clunk!

Hmm yeah mine needs that. I'd get the clunk every once in a while while off road and it always bugged me. It'll be a while before I fix it though. To many other things at hand.

Anyone know if the 5 lug differs at all in this steering shaft deal? I assume not but it wouldn't surprise me

Anyone know a good website to find good steel bumpers? That are not going to break the bank.
