I've heard from Primer and taco42. Is anyone else interested in getting together?

Hey STL peeps. So I didn't end up getting another Tacoma and am now selling some of the stuff I was holding on to. I posted in the FS thread here

I will gladly give locals priority over shipping some of this stuff, so let me know if you are interested and we can schedule a time for you to check out what you want.

I live close to Scott Air Force base in Belleville, IL.

    Cheers

Has anyone in the STL area have the TRD S/C installed? And if so, what dealership did you use?

    Yeah.
Not me. I have trust issues and would try to do the install myself, except for the reflash (I think there's a reflash required). But I have daughters heading to college soon, so no SC in my near future.

I am in the same boat Rich. But I'm not going to void the warranty on a brand new truck. I'm getting a '14 from Lou Fusz and was going to talk to their service guys, but was hoping someone around us would already have one installed and a dealership that has definitive experience.

Pappas did me real right once on some service when I worked near there. I would use them.

    Yeah.
I have only been around STL for 5 years, but my neighbor has been here all his life and had an FJ a couple years ago. He dealt with Pappas and had no complaints. I deal with Jay Wolfe, but not sure I would trust them with a SC. I would check with Pappas.

I finally got around to getting my Duratracs. Got them from Mr. Tire on Hampton, $961 out the door minus the $120 Goodyear rebate (had to sign up for the CC, no problem will pay it then cancel). So $841 for 4 tires, not bad :D.

Made it out to Utah and Western CO for some MTB'ing. It rained all the way through the mountains and the new tires gripped nicely.

Nice. That's on my list to make it out that way with the truck.

    Yeah.
I recently went with the Michelins, put them on FJ Special Edition TRD wheels. Got the tires at Costco, right at $800 installed. The Duratracs were a little more offroad than I need.

My old wheels and tires are on CL, if anyone is interested.

I've seen the same Barcelona Red DCSB parked at the Penn Station at Olive Rd. and Ross Rd. It has blacked out rims, tail lights, a lift, and a tacomaworld sticker on the lower right of the rear window. Who is this? I live right near there.
