Primo - have you had any issues with pre-mature wearing with your wheel bearings with such wide rims? Do you haul or tow anything? I got my trackers installed yesterday and absolutely love the way they look.

Almost 2 years & 15K miles with my setup and No issues - I just do occasional hauling/towing. I don't consider 8.5" to be really wide wheels. I would think 10"+ you might start having issues.

    Lets see some pics!

There is a lot of talk on here about tire widths compared to the wheel width of the Guardians. I have the 265/75-16 Duratracs and they look great on this wheel. Now my dad wants these on his Tacoma. He has 265/75-16 Cooper Discoverer ATP3s on his. Is the recommended wheel width for the Coopers enough to mount on the Guardians without them looking "deformed"? Both the Duratracs and the Coopers have a recommended wheel width of 7"-8" so I can only assume the fit and look would be the same.

Hi guys, I just picked up my first Tacoma a 2010 TRD Sport. The factory wheels are starting to corrode so in the market for some nice wheels and came across the Level 8 Punch wheels. I love the look and am wondering if anyone else has these same wheels.

Why is it so difficult to buy a decent set of 15"X8" Matte Black rims??? I have been using BFG All Terrains in 31X10.5s now for 25 years on 4 different vehicles. Every time I have gone to buy rims in the last 8 years it has been a terrible experience. There is NOTHING available for this tire combination! It seems like an industry tactic to FORCE you to buy new rims and tires, instead of just allowing me to buy new rims for the perfectly good tires I have! I have been a discount customer for 26 years now I believe. Discount is a great store! As far as rim makers like "Level 8" listening to customers input………..I'm not buying it! They do make the rim I want (Tracker) in a 15X8 6-139.7, but in a polished only version?? Please!!! I have had to powder coat factory rims instead of buying NEW ones from Discount tire the last 2 times I wanted new rims. I would MUCH rather just spent the $$$ buying a new set from Discount Tire……….if they had any.:frusty::help::goingcrazy:

To answer your question as politely as possible. 15" wheels are becoming a thing of the past. 25 years ago, my whole family ran 31x10.5x15 on all our trucks too. Every truck, Scout, jeep, bronco & blazer ran 15" in the 80s. And most of them ran 31x10.5. Times have changed...the new standard is 16" or 17". I believe the 265/75/16 has become the new "31" (although it is closer to a 32"). You may want to think about changing tire sizes to open up your wheel options.

And for aftermarket Tacoma wheels, due to caliper clearance, you can't get just any wheel you want. There really isn't that big of a selection of aftermarket wheels that fit Tacomas without modification. Level 8 seems to be one that fits Tacomas great and they have a pretty good selection.

    Good Luck in your search

This has probably been discussed, but would 265/75s fit on the level 8 16x8.5s wheel? I really like the zx with a machined lip and maybe some others

Edit: just read and yes they will work. Any pics of the zx machined lip? And do the strike 6 come in a 16" if I call?

First five years of taco ownership = 0 compliments

3 months of level 8 trackers = weekly compliments

Personally I love the way it looks, apparently so do others

I saw on here that most who went with the Punch wheel did not care for the center caps. I customized mine and thought I would share.

I used Dupli-Color Color Match paint from Autozone, Phantom Grey Pearl and Clear Coat. Laid down the paint first then applied the decals and clear coated over them.

Got these 2" decals off eBay.

Masked them with blue painters paint and doggy poop bags :crapstorm:

Finished Product - TRD wheels for a fraction of the price.

Yeah! I think they look way better now. The Level 8 logo was too graffiti/ghetto looking.

I have the Guardians on my truck. I lost one of the center caps and need to replace it. Could you tell me the product code?
Also, I understand there is a shorter cap option. Could you tell me the product code for the short one too?
    Thank you.

You should probably just call them, discount tire hasn't been on much lately

Here are my Level 8 MK 6's with some TRD center caps I ordered from the dealer. Cost me 12 bucks each. Looks a million times better than the big 8. I've gotten quite a few compliments in the short time I've had them.
