next weekend, few Mariposa guys are going up to Signal Peak forest service lookout tower, to bbq, shoot trap, you gotta do sum wheelin to get there. nothing extreme, few hillclimbs along the way as options, theres a mellow way up, room to haul ass here and there. very scenic if you've never really been up in Sierra National Forest near Yosemite, very pretty.....chciks dig it if ya kno what im sayin. theres another lookout in the same forest, little different area that you gotta do sum four wheeling to get to and that is also a very scenic spot, both are fun, anyway if anyone is interested pm me. also, ill be stretching the legs on my rear suspension 12" kings

Are you taking the trail or fire road up? Did the trail yesterday, it's pretty rutted out in a few spots but nothing too bad. I did it with an open rear end but hit sliders and has tank skid a few times. I'll actually be night wheeling up there next weekend then my buddy's doing fordyce the next day.

It was the eagle lake exit, we took that up and took the fire road down. There was an old stone shack but it was unmanned. Used to be a fire lookout.

There must be a dozen "Signal Peaks" in the west. I think Basikbiker is talking about one down near Yosemite.

The wife and I were just up on the one near Cisco Grove on Sunday, taking the 'hard-way' . Made it up OK, pretty fun, but it was a bit of a challenge on 31's and a long wheelbase. Great 270-degree views on top, even a little snow.

Maybe we could make this into a google calendar. That way we can add it to our phones and always see what's up this weekend.
