Rich, is it possible to return to work if only for a short period and "restart" the clock? Not from a legal FMLA point but, company policy? This way you might keep some pay? I'm guessing you'll have STD or LTD??? (not that it's any of my business)

Wow Rich, sorry to read that status. Keep you in my thoughts for this to go your way.

I'll re-read all that FMLA and legal stuff tomorrow to see if I understand it when I'm not dog tired from fishing the last two days.

Evening folk. Not working tonight, just catching up on TW after being out of cell coverage over on the Copper River.

That's what we discussed today Joe. Returning to work even if the blood vessels dont reatach and nourish the bone. Then go back out on short term for the replacement.
However, I'm not sure if its possible for the break to heal if the bone is already dying. idk. Sounds impossible to me. The problem is its the 2nd worse break a person can have. Femoral neck, type 3.
I think the long term dissability election is only offered one time per year, maybe november. I still have quite a bit of research to do on this whole fiasco.
Next appt isnt until 6/30 so i'm going to take some time and head up north in the next week or so to indiana to be with the folks and gram.
Maybe I can get a 2nd opinion there.

Thx Rob. My spirits are high. I'm looking at the long term goal but living day to day. And the long term right now is to be back to work by 5/2/15 and the short term is waking up in the morning and getting thru another day.

Just got a call from my apartment complex peeps. They're letting me out of my lease with no break fees but require a 30 day notice which I'm very happy with.

Checked out an apartment that's attached to a friend's house he just bought up in the mountains. Rent would be cheaper but the commute is 48 miles each way instead of 14. Oh and apparently bears break in and mess your house up if you leave food out. I'm kinda bad with the leaving food/dishes out.

    Choices choices.

Are you having trouble at your apt complex or are you just needing to save some money?. (Sorry, havn't read that far back)

Trouble, they're changing a bunch of policies so they let me out of my lease early without fees.

Gotcha. I got out of mine years ago pretty easy when the water heater upstairs burst twice in a month. Ran for 8 hrs while I was at work.

Cool they're letting you out from under it. My commute is 42 miles each way. I carpool with two others. Any chance of carpooling for you?

And I'd guess the bears breaking in is a slight exaggeration. It's probably happened before. But I doubt we're talking a bowl of half eaten cereal left out. I just don't see some normal kitchen clutter tempting bears to "break in." Unless people in the area are bad at using bear proof trash cans and such, to where that brings them into the area first and it progresses from there. Just my random thoughts.

No carpooling but I can ride the motorcycle for the summer to help on fuel costs (it gets 50-55mpg).

I think I'm going to try it out. At the worst it sucks for a year and I find something else. At the best I enjoy the heck out of it and maybe find a different job to cut the commute time.

Not to be a dick but they are the ones breaking the lease, not you. Even in conservative states a lessor can not change any part of the lease without having the entire lease voided should the leasee opt not to accept the changes. In a state like CO, I'd bet a months pay you've got them by the ball sack. After all why sign a contract if at some time prior to it expiring one of the parties decides they want to change it....???

That said, I'm glad you're getting out, just remember you're doing them the favor by letting them out of the contract early not the other way around (and fuck that 30 day shit they wanna throw on you after they made the changes...I'd love some shit like that to happen to me but then I am a little cranky this morning). :) :)

    :D

Yeah I honestly need 30 days to get my crap ready to move so it works out. My goal this move is to greatly reduce the crap I have. We'll see what happens though.
