Buddy of mine has one and likes it. Not his favorite, but not his least favorite either. He ends up using a 22" Weber most of the time.

I have the Weber Genesis all stainless. I love it. Buy during the winter or off season and save some money.

I have that. It kicks ass. I drilled a hole in the lid and installed a temp gauge because it will easily reach 700+ degrees if you aren't paying attention. Other than that it cooks fast and evenly.

I don't use gas anymore, but I bought one of these Kenmore Elite 6 burner grills in 1999.

(This is not the actual grill, but of one I found online in crappy shape) [IMG]

I gave it to my brother about 5-6 years ago and is still in fantastic shape. All he did since I gave it to him was replace the burners and I think the grill. Kenmore still makes the Elite models, but they of course look different today. Not sure how the quality is now, but might be worth checking out.

I have the Weber Genesis. Very happy with it. Had an old Kenmore that I had rebuilt a couple of times. It's nice to be able to control the temperature again. "High" does not mean "burn" anymore!
But for my long smokes, I use my Traeger Lil Tex Elite.

My wife and I ended up buying a Charbroil Commercial Stainless 4 burner grill. She's been wanting me to have a new grill. My previous grill was a charbroil and lasted 8 years, so hopefully this one will too. I cooked some steaks on it the other day and let me tell you, its a big difference cooking on the lower grate close to the burners. My old grill had the full size grate that was attached to the lid, so I had one grate close to the burners and another one the same size higher up. I;ve always cooked steaks on high and they've came out really good. This time I cooked on high and they were still tender but the were more done then we like them. I like mine med rare and mine came out between med and med well. I only cooked mine for like 8 minutes total. I had all burners on b/c I was cooking 4 steaks. Should I not have had all burners on or what are some tips cooking on the lower grate close to the fire. All new grills that I've seen you cook close to the fire.

What temp was the grill at? I cook at about 450 degrees.

Ordered a temp gauge like you mentioned. I'll put it once it comes in.

I want to say it was close to 600 degrees but. I want to say my other grill when I had both burners on that high was around 500-550. I guess I should've cut the heat down a little and I probably need to cook using the temperature gauge and not looking what the burner(s) is set on. I used to cook boneless chicken breast on high but what temp should I cook those on? Thanks for the tips.
