:headbang:WARNING!!! THIS MOD TOOK ME 13 1/2 HOURS TO COMPLETE WORKING STRAIGHT THROUGH IN ONE DAY. NOT FOR THE FAINT.

DO NOT DO THIS MOD IF YOU ARE ON IBUPROFEN, YOUR JAM LIVES IN YOUR PANTS, YOUR LEGS ARE NAILED TO YOUR MOTHER.

AND ALSO, I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE AND I WOULD GIVE IT ABOUT A 4/10 FOR DIFFICULTY. IT'S THE TIME THATS THE ISSUE. IT'S A 10/10 WHEN IT COMES TO TIME!!!!

So i had been wanting to do my own satoshi for a while but was really scared cuz i didn't have another grille in case i screwed it up, but i just grabbed my cajones and did it.

So here's what my truck with grille looked like before hand
    0731091951_9a85d816e134f97de8850cb77b9da5440350d6b6.jpg

So i took the grille out

    0820091520_bd37c9ecfd5b23ffe9d64117e786e992030e4248.jpg

Set up all the tools and stuff
    0822091804_ffb64cd0aaec918153802b7a05d680c73d198082.jpg

    Cut through the old grille
    0822091353_ec0613e71416fc16f94539590508eb97b80555a1.jpg

And this is what it looked like after the cutting was done. Took about an hour and a half
    0822091445_226516f60642302725308dadd3068bc20a80b12c.jpg

Sanded everything down with 60 gritt sandpaper
    0822091726_46e85a6e7d9f7dc2eece80de6753406c01125995.jpg

    0822091726a_dad669267e82f06c2fef752e1fe5cdd00b3d3db7.jpg

Then came the fiberglass kit that i got from autozone
    0822091802_f91a700887b43290063654ce18904b57fb98028d.jpg

    0822091803_9e39c80acb2e7eab9cbc0be19a721ff49f43ec10.jpg

Then while the fiberglass was curing, i decided to clean up the work area
    0822091804a-1_a20661188f2d01ef15393ed97315e2d83cc6cfd1.jpg

And also relocate my horns over to the driver side almost up to the windshield where the other screw holes were
    0822091808_cf3d965e8e6967a5d7cf4515f071d9a76d8af53b.jpg

After about 2 hours, the fibeglass was ready to go, so i untaped it and bondo'd.
    0822092001_111340fc8b9120cbdb62c16e183dd416dcf621af.jpg

I didn't take pictures of the bondo, sanding, or painting cuz at that point i was just ready to be done.

And finally after 13 1/2 hours of working on this grille, i finished at 02:30.

You can't really see it that well cuz it was dark, but i'll get better pics when my truck gets washed today.

    0823090207-1_5ef675baf8440ce1749c51b3cd570e8147addbc6.jpg

Today i got these pictures just so you could see the finished product
    0823091256_48d9b6a024b36efac3b74c1bd14b48728f181b75.jpg

    0823091259-1_bfa3db7a0d21e0b818cb95944e6a45d4c40af968.jpg

I'll post some more in a bit after its washed cuz it's very dirty right now cuz of all the dust and crap.

But that's it. :D I'm very happy with the finished product, being that i have never done anything like this in my life before. There are some minor imperfections in the paint that i'll have to fix up, but really good for my first one.

    All products used:
-Dremel - The key tool in the entire mod(THANKS KEVIN!!!)
    -60, 220, 320 gritt sand paper
    -3M painters tape
    -fiberglass repair kit from autozone
    -bondo
-rustoleum auto primer, flat black spray paint, clear coat
    -mesh
    -zip ties
    -zip tie clamps
    -locktite for plastic

    Total spent about 100 bucks

    :yay::cheers::amen:

Looks good. Did you black out the radiator or no? Also, if you're not doing anything with your stock Toyota emblem let me know, I'm looking for one.

Yeah, i painted the radiator and surrounding frame also. And no, i'm not doing anything with it. You can have it if you want it. Reznor, PM me your info and i'll send it to you.

    Looks sweet.

I'm gonna do it...but I'm still debating on whether to mount the grill to the front like you did...or to the rear of the grill like others have done. The rear mount method will be a good bit more involved...but that's how I'm leaning.

    Again...good job!

Yeah, it really does feel good knowing i put that hard work into it and it looks great!

That IS one good looking dremel!!

Got it from Lowe's. 13.95 for like 20ftx2ft. Then instead of lying it straight across, i slanted it to go with diamonds instead of squares. :)
