Yep, we built it to haul the quads around on (only have to take one vehicle) and originally my truck was gonna be trailered back (behind the box truck) but now I'm driving my truck and the trailer that my truck was gonna be on will have 2 trailers and a quad on it.

This trailer weighs no where near that, it has to be under 700 lbs.

So Conor (Cmack) is going to be lurking around San Diego the weekend of June 21st. Thinking about putting a run together for that Saturday. I wanted to get into the recently reopened Los Coyotes Rez but it sounds overgrown and generally a pain at the moment, maybe in the near future.
    Any suggestions?
Pancake is getting old, Corral Canyon might have to work

Sell that thing before you leave, take the fuel money you are going to spend and whatever you get for that thing and buy a trailer when you make it to Deliverance.

    You back in town yet?

That'd be the smart thing to do, but I like that trailer, and we'd still need to trailer the other trailer and quad back so it probably wouldn't be worth it.

I'm still digging in on the Los coyotes thing. It is in fact reopened, just have to register with the Rez. I'm waiting to hear back from Roger Mullins @ JustRuns to confirm conditions etc. Everything is all here say at this point, he's always spot on with his info.

What ???? hey fuck connor, fuckin' 'zonie, doesn't even have a 4x anymore, or a truck even......;)

HA! I've met roger (SDORC) before if its the same mullins from lakeside... & yeah Los Coyotes has rumored to open for several years but hasn't happened, pretty sure its up to the tribe & these tribes around SD county are moody & will pull the rug out from underneath you on a whim.. I still have a couple friends at Barona & I'm still a member of the Barona Historical Society, not that gives me any juice.. I DID speak to Joe Welch jr. briefly about getting some access to Tule Spring truck trail from El Capitan reservoir's north end, he said personally he didn't have a problem with it since he knew me & we went to jr high/ high school together but it'd be up to the elders & tribal council... so who the hell knows

Oh !! Dennis Nottingham, I knew his brother Bruce really well.. Dennis is active in the offroad community, should look him up too.

So we'll see what that little "sports" car can do in the dirt and rocks... Don't worry about him getting stuck, I'm sure there will be a few trucks willing to hook up a tow strap and drag him over any small obstacles there might be.

in the 60's and 70's there was a house at the back of el cap at the diverting dam that is way back up the back of el cap. house was owned by helix water district since they owned the diverting dam. only way in or out to the house was that trail. some old timer lived out there. lived off a generator and a well. house was right at the dam. his only job was to record levels, and open or close the dam. it burned down in the 80's i think, and then after the ceder creek fires, all the silt and sand that washed down filled the dam back there. i may or may not have keys somewhere to get back there.

Jeff, you are 100% correct, I worked at El Cap for 4 years,The old guy you speak of was Hank & yep his job was as you described, been to the diversion dam many times, there was also an old mission at the far end of the lake & thats where Tule springs started, we used to take our bikes there entering from Barona reservation, hell you could drive your truck to within 100ft of the punch bowl, swim, then go up Eagle peak truck trail & exit in Julian fucking miles & miles of trails
