Ourisman Chantilly is all I've dealt with...they seem like a pretty typical dealership with higher costs than a normal shop and less than "expert" techs, but they do an ok job.

Koons is great for sales. Ourisman Fairfax is better for service. There are a few techs there that know what they're doing and some of the service writers actually care about their customers.

I may take you up on that.

I've got a metal scraping sound coming from the left front wheel when I turn right, from 1/2 to full turn lock. Doesn't do it going straight or making a left. Going to try to look at it tomorrow. I'm hoping it's a loose brake shield but who knows..

I had it into Miller a while back for a front axel bearing replacement on that side. I'm sure that doesn't have anything to do with it..

Have you seen any frame replacements being done/have been done there? I'm thinking of going there if/when VA gets the green light for frame replacement.

Maybe a backing plate or possible rust ring on the rotor or even pad shift in the caliper

Stay away from Koons Service! They are a mess. Miller has been going down hill a lot these past years. If you ever need a mechanic up in Rockville, I suggest Iron Mikes Garage. This guy has a small shop and has a lot of integrity. He basically will work to save you money unlike the stealerships.
Example: Recent Transmission fluid exchange Miller quoted $380 without looking/testing. Iron Mikes pulled fluid and checked it and then made recommendation (for free), cost to exchange ATF $250.

Anyone want to come over and help with the reinstillation of these? Just painted and did a 90° for the filter to come through the taillights bulkhead

I tried to get pricing from Koons Toyota when I was looking to purchase my wife's RAV4 and my Tacoma recently...I was not impressed by their sales department to say the least. I ended up buying both vehicles from Ourisman Toyota in Chantilly and they were pretty decent to deal with. My only experience with Toyota service departments in the NOV A area was Ourisan Toyota in Fairfax, when my wife's Corolla needed some warranty work done, and they were fine.

I agree though...don't take your vehicles to a dealership unless it involves warranty work. There are plenty of great indy shops out there.

Just saw this or i woulda tried to help out. Toshi and I were changing our hubs out all day sat. We were going to do the ecgs needle bearing replacement too but the puller tool broke on his. Hours later and several choice words later used a dremel to cut it apart and pry out. So we got his done but mine isnt done yet. We were out there 8am-8 pm. And i am sore as hell and red as a lobster. Im irish. I dont tan, i burn.

No stress. I did them. However, need to pull them again to Loctite everything. Going to wait till I figure out the 3/8" braided stainless issue. I need 2 small lengths of it to span the gap instead of the airline I used. It is blowing up like a balloon. Not pleased at all.

I didnt think the diff breathers had pressure in them. Could you use fuel line instead?
