    Everybody's older than you, you're 12!

Meh. That's only because Alex is 12 ;)

    :smack:
They didn't have school back then. Everything they needed to know was painted on the cave wall.

I don't destroy anything when I take it out if I can avoid it, for the same reason. Just about everything can be reused, as far as I'm concerned (within reason)

Keep an eye in craigslist; where we're coming into the remodeling season there should be some stuff popping up.

Not sure how far these are from you, Bill, but...

Definitely keep them. I was nice when I took my old ones out and was able to use them in my basement for storage.

No problem. They were just examples, hence the one that's a month old, haha!

    Good luck!

    Nope.
Says on their website that the shocks work BEST when paired with a set of their coils. So I would assume that they fit inside the stock coils...But you know what they say about assume.

Sorry I can't say for sure. :notsure:

I'm pretty sure your stock coils would fit on the Nitrochargers but not 100%.

As far as I know, OME does not make a stock height replacement coil. One of their coils might work, but they do not make a stock height replacement coil for the Tacoma. I know the 883 coil works with a Tacoma but those would still give you about 1.5" of lift. The 883, 884 and 885 coils are all made from the same coil (same spring rate), the higher number is just 10mm taller than the one before it.

Every manufacturer will have similar disclaimers if they make a spring. They just want you to buy their springs also. They say it rides 'best' because they actually know their own spring rate and hopefully valved the shock to accommodate their spring. Definitely doesn't mean they won't perform well with other springs or aren't compatible with other springs.

I think the ome shock is taller than stock though, I think a stock spring would fit in the shock, but I'm not sure they are tall enough

Well yeah. They're not going to say "These work best with somebody else's springs!! You should buy their product instead!!"

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

I answered in your thread but to do it again. Yes they are all the same diameter. They all fit into a Billy 5100 so they will fit. As everybody else has said they are not all the same height though.

I'm trying to salvage as many of the new parts I bought while returning to stock. So if I can keep my OME shocks on the stock suspension, I would only have to sell my 884's. Otherwise, I'm going to have to buy new 4600's for the rear and put my OEM coils/shocks back on leaving me to sell my 884's and 4 shocks which I'm sure to lose more money on. I think I remember where I read that the Nitro's were good for 0-3" of lift.

Thanks for the responses guys. I remember when I did my original research I found the 5100's were 14.02 x 22.94 collapsed and extended while the OME's were 13.85 x 23.93so only about an inch but are those lengths more determined by the piston range or the body housed in the coil? I know it's probably both but.....

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders

Ill let ya know next one i take out. Most of the time we just take them down and nothing is damaged removing them. Just took one out this week but broke everything to fit in the dumpster better. I wish you said this about 3 weeks ago, just did this kitchen in westport and all the old cabinets were in good shape, pretty much identical to what we put back in. We did a custom built butcher block countertop also, they were not cheap cabinets either
