SOO CLOSE! I am trying to fine tune the OBA system on my truck. I would fill the 10 gal tank to 100psi in the evening and by morning it would be empty. I have been slowly going through and tightening all my connections. I am now only loosing about 5-10psi in a 24hr period.

I am planning on adding a small gauge in the cab so I know how full the tank is but wanted a nonregulated and regulated gauge in the bed for tools. I won't be doing it any time soon but I am doing a bit of research on pneumatic helper springs too. I am thinking I could do a softer leaf pack for off road but have a pneumatic helper spring for off road. I need to look again but I think I am at 11" of travel and these bags are good for 15" and have internal bump stops:

Besides the picture above, I have these:

Go right ahead  I couldn't find a hose clamp large enough to hold a 9.75" diameter tank.

I was actually just about to post that I was trying to open the flow of the pneumatic valve for the horn by drilling it out and I totally F'ed it up. Now it doesn't seal right. The valve has a 1/4" but only had about a 1/16" (or even 1/32") hole for the air to flow through (22 SCFM). I am on the hunt for a new valve now.

    Which valve? pic//

do you mean the regulator? Might have to step up to 3/8" fitting/ valves. use the thread sealer too.

I used this originally. It woked great but was restricting flow to the horn so it wasn't that loud.

The hose I am using is 3/8" hose with a 1/4" port. I could get two step up adaptors and get a 1/2" valve. I am just trying find something with a 1/4" ports that allows more than 22 SCFM.

Nice. Get some audio up or a video of the horn.

I pulled the bonehead move of not looking at the direction of flow on my regulator at first. Everytime I adjusted the pressure, I was emptying the tank, not the opposite end of the hose.

Ya, that is interesting. That thing looks the same size as the viairs. I wonder how it can produce 4.24 cfm. And is actual size comparison.

I imagine it is all in the head design. Same way the same v6 engine can produce more power with different work done to them internally. Polished heads, pistons, etc.

if you look at the amp draw too. one of these pull 36amps vs 2 viair pulling 44 amps.

looks more efficient all the way around

Just painted and did a 90° for the filter to come through the taillights bulkhead

Here are the rest of them. On this specific compressor. The holes are 3.5 inches apart center to center. I got a 3/8" - 90°, 3/8" - 1.5" piece, and finally a 3/8" barb. Ran out of Loctite 545 (I use 5452, cures faster) so Teflon it is for now.

Measured where the barb hung centered, 2". Then got out the uni bit and went to work. 7/8" hole if I remember correctly. That allowed the filter to be pushed through the bulkhead onto the barb and sit flush.

Easier to change and service there. No acrobatics involved.
