You could acucally park it at the tail head of christina. Be easy to tow into there and setup, then run the trail and come back to sleep.

Shoshone...be a bit harder but you could leave it at the trail head too. Big parking lot there for the ATVers.

Early July will be a toss up. I know Marc tired Christina early July last year and ended up being able to do most of it just not finish it due to the river being way too high. Shoshone has haft a stream in a section of it but i doubt its very bad..but could be open..could be closed..no idea till later in the year.

Pretty psyched to make it up there this year. The new bumper and winch are on, solid plans are made for a rear bumper that I will build over the next few weeks/months (I won't get much time to work on it until school is out) and new coils up front and AALs for the rear are in the works!

Time to start lurking and get tied into this thread. My wife, son and Mom and I visited friends last year in Douglas, WY for the WY state fair and then drove my Mom to Mount Rushmore (83 YOA and the one place she really wanted to visit in the US). We then went across to Cody (actually went to school with Buffalo Bill's grandson in the early 70's - yeah I am an old codger), through Grand Teton and to Yellowstone. Then down through Jackson Hole and dropped Mom and boy off at Denver and took wife back to Aspin for some R&R. This was in my other Tacoma (non-4WD) and now I am set up to start making plans for some of this. Plan to read thread in its entirity and start taking notes. Truck in my link is a lot further along now with sliders and got my Tepui tent the other week. One primary question to start with:

Do I need lockers for a lot of this since I have a long-bed without ATRAC?

Know opinions will vary depending on the areas but would appreciate some opinions/comments.

There were a few rigs that did this last year that were open/open. More important than lockers for what we did was sliders and ground clearance. A mild lift with 32s is plenty. If your wallet allows, go for skids too.

    This.

    My rig is open open.

Morrison you'll have to work a bit more on the tight corners. Get a good spotter. Ending of christinina is also very tight for 2nd gens in general width wise.

Also you do know there is no meet for this this year right? It was last year and a one time deal. Some of us are doing weekend trips of legs 1&2 though since it's local to us.

    What??

Yeah, why not or at least some plans for the future.

Thanks for the comments so far. Got the skids and CBI rear bumper and waiting on Relentless front bumper (got the winch to install). Also Icon 3 Stage 3 system and putting on All Pro Expedition Springs this weekend. Already got the Tepui tent also. Now, where is the sweet ass time to spare and some bucks (already way past budget) for a another trip out west.:D

Link for my build with Gladriel.
