    Gents,

Thanks for the education, I really had no idea about these types of lights and what it took to get them. I just assumed you swapped a halogen bulb for an LED bulb to get the blue/white look...obviously not. For now, I think I'm going to pass...too many other things I want to get done first...like suspension, wheels and tires.

    Cheers,
    -Russ

You CAN do that. They make LED replacement bulbs, and if you want bright, you can also get a cheaper plug and play HID kit for like $35. The problem with these kits is that while they are bright, they are blinding to other drivers. I ran an HID kit in my truck for about 6 months. It was bright...great if I was out on dark roads, but if there was anyone around, it literally blinded them. These lights are the right, legal way to get better lights.

Again, you can do projectors for cheaper, but these are one of the best projectors...built by a professional...

The second setup went with OEM housings as well, so I have a set on the way from the dealer to open up and retrofit.

I would be interested in a set for 2013. Is it possible to make them without the black bowl and surround? I would like them to look almost factory.

Definitely. I'm building a set just like that for a 2014 F150 as we speak!

Awesome! So do you leave the shrouds clear or do those have to be painted? I saw somewhere that you said you have to paint the shrouds or else you will be able to see the solenoid through them, is that true with these? Also, along the lines of keeping the stock look, do you have DRL's that are not switchbacks but are led's?

I don't think it looks that bad clear. Throw a halo ring behind it and it looks pretty good. I haven't seen one in person, but unless you're up close, I don't think you'll see the solenoid. I'll let Andrew chime in on that part haha

You will see the solenoid, but it's tiny and you have to know what you're looking for. I only painted the shroud grey to mix up the look, no other reason.

Since I'm mobile til the morning, if you shoot me a PM with your email I can send you a picture of the F150 retrofit sitting on my counter.

As for the LED, yes, I can get basically "yellow/yellow" switchbacks so there's no white at all.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. Just throw in a halo behind the shroud and you'll never see it.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
This is a SMOKING deal guys.... honestly, it does not get any better than the LS460R when it comes to retrofits for Tacomas.

Think of the price as doing a public service for the people on the road with halogen bulbs---as you'll be lighting up their lanes too, including opposing lanes haha!

Good to see this coming along, Andrew!

    LS460R Tacoma club FTW!! :D

Even F150 owners want the LS460Rs. They're my niche market after all!

This set is nearly ready to be cleaned and sealed. All chrome w/ amber LED ring inside the shroud.

I want these so bad. Been sitting at work all day thinking, "If I order these in the same week as my winch, which also happens to be the week my winch bumper arrived, will my wife divorce me? It was just Father's Day, my son is only 3 weeks old, but he'd buy these for me if he was older, right?"

For all that, I'm thinking I need to wait a week or two.

Ready whenever you are! It's looking like I'll have three more sets queued up in the next week or two mine included.

here's a new question for you? would it be possible for you to do just the bowl portion? (cutting and fitting the LS's and getting the line straight) I already have FXR's with matsushita gen V ballasts and osram bulbs. I can do the assembling and all that jazz but hate the cutting and fitting. I can also pick up in ATL :)
