He actually has one of the best team friendly contracts out there. He doesn't have a signing bonus and only a small guarantee, it's a pay as you go contract, and left room to negotiate other team members salaries. Many agents were bagging on it because it doesn't make him as much as he COULD have gotten. Obviously you didn't check any of the details of the deal... just talking shit because you have Brady's dick all the way in your esophagus, which is nothing new. It's a very smart deal for him AND the team.

And as for injuries, they always have depth. Only injury I care about is getting Bowman back to 100%.

exactly what I was about to say.

not to mention that that is just the going rate of good QBs nowadays. Cam, RG3, RWilson, and Luck will all have higher salaries next year, and if the Niners would have waited, they would have had to pay more.

So, what's up with the AFC this year?

Me and my boss were talking, and we got around to the sorry state of the AFC this year. Wow. Amazing how sad.

You've got Denver. New England. And....? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Almost noone else in the conference really worries you unless you play like the Browns/Jags.

While the #3 team in the NFL West had a monster D and won 10 last year to miss the playoffs.

Green Bay, Chicago, and to a lesser degree Detroit all have a shot at the NFC Norris title. Ditto for Carolina, Atlanta and New Orleans.

Just seems a bit off to me.

I've long thought that Fouts could have been the best QB in NFL history if they'd have put a damned line in front of him. He can't throw the ball downfield when he's lying on his back.

That might be true, but it isn't the whole story.

Cap numbers per year aren't a problem until you get into the McNair range.

I hate to break it to you, but Brieber almost is there, in real terms. If he were to 'drop a weight and break a foot and be on IR during OTAs' once, the Pats would be McFucked with a side of cheese. He might not be a...what has it, 27M?...instant 'real' hit, but he ain't far behind.

    LOL

I know this feeling. Remember when Rodgers got his collarbone all broke and we had Scott Tolzien and Seneca Wallace?

Garrupolo (or however you spell it) and Mallett look UP at Cassel. Thats....a potential problem.

I'm lucky enough that, while Mr Damon won't win many starting jobs, has proven he can be a .500 QB in McCarthy's system in real games. Not many teams have a #2 that can say that.

right... I don't think Mallett is horrible, I'd def want him over Garopollo in real game, I think he CAN be successful, but if Brady got injured for the season, I think I would have to cry, and eat a whole jar of peanut butter with a spoon for a few weeks, while my wife wiped the tears away.

Cant believe the Aints are going to let Jimmy Graham walk.. Would be sick if the Pats picked him up.

But.... would be nice lined up next to Gronk, agree? I might even take him over a healthy, non-felon, Aaron Hernandez...
