So for those who have the fog light mod do you roll around at night with only your fog lights on? and if so have you ever been pulled over for it?

    Lol, sure was.
Not saying I'm going to do this just asking if anyone has done or been doing this and harassed by the man. With all the Mickey mouse stuff and questions asked here how is that a non-practical question?
Some people are such ass holes!

Fog light mod. I did it so I can run my fogs only in poor weather conditions. Better than DTRL in heavy rain and whatnot. Looks good at dusk before headlights are necessary, so I do it then also.

If you are just doing it for offroad purposes go for it. If it is for highway or public roadway use, I know personally I prefer people on roadways at night have proper lighting as required, not just foglights on.

And since you are worried about the law handing you a ticket for it I assume you want to just drive at night with only foglights around town or on the highway. Sounds like a recipe for trouble and lack of safety to me. You can think about it this way too: I could imagine if you got in a wreck, regardless of your fault or not, if the law and insurance companies figure out you were only running fogs, no headlights, it will be your ass.

Not trying to be a dick, not being an asshole, just throwing out my own 2 cents.

I think initially it was, but the chunky PB caused balancing issues in the drivers side if you didn't have the ECGS bushing installed. It is now at your own risk using ultra creamy PB only IIRC. :notsure:

People use the fog light mod to drive during the day time. There are some people that are dumb and only use the fog lights for driving. If you don't want to get pulled over, you won't do it

I suppose I'm a ass hole. Yes there are many silly questions asked here. You implied you want to run your truck at night with only your fog lights. I quickly deduced that you didn't want to run your main head lights for fuck knows why? I can only assume to look cool? When you run over a small child because you look cool remember it wasn't a good idea. You'll find your answer when the cops are taking you away.

I only say this because I've seen people do stupid shit like this in my 21 years on the job.

    Good luck

Y'all need to calm down! Those implying that I'm going to drive around with only my fog lights on, lol. Come on guys!
Anyway from what I've read so far I think that would be a no, on the original question. Our at least no one will admit it.

Nobody rides around with just their fogs at night*, you will be pulled over when a cop sees you. The fog light mod is most useful for off road driving at night. When you turn your high beams on, the fogs will be disabled**, so doing this mod allows you to have your high beams on for the distance and the fogs on for close up.

*unless they accidentally forget to flick their headlights on.
**state/federal law prohibits using both high beams and fogs at the same time...for some reason.

I do exactly what you're talking about (sometimes)... Drive with only fogs & marker lights turned on.

Haven't been pulled-over (yet), and at night in the city it's (sorta) "sufficient" lighting...

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Previously I owned a Dodge Durango and you could run parking lights and driving lights without headlights. I liked to do that at dusk when headlights weren't yet needed, to run only driving lights after dark would be just plain dangerous! Driving lights have a low to the ground, short, wide pattern, and not ever designed to drive with at night.

I did the mod on my 2006 and used it often, I will probably do the same mod to my '14 if it ever gets delivered.
