Oh yah, Swimgood's a local guy. We have like 4-5 guys with 35's on mid travels around here. I've seen em in person, chop chop! It's just a matter of making it pretty. They've all used the harbor freight body saw (air saw) with good luck.

Speaking of tires.....I just downsized from 315/75/16 to 285/75/16. The overdrive finally has some use again on hills and no more fender rubbing.

Just a little tip for re installing you fender flares after you cut them too. When you cut the flares you lose the mounting points on the inner flare edge so the only thing holding the flares on now is just those little plastic clips. You can ditch the plastic clips and install speed clips ( see photo ) into the flare on the same locations as the clips and then use nylon washer and screws from the back of the fender into the flare. Hope that makes sense, I am doing mine in a couple of weeks and I can post pics when it's done.

Ah gotcha , I misunderstood I thought you were doing the flares too. We have to run flares here in Californistan...I had a state trooper lecture me about my 35's with stock flares a couple months ago. Guy was a real DB though he was looking for anything he could write a ticket for - uncovered off road lights, window tint, tires too wide but luckily he took pity on me because the speeding ticket for 87 mph was going to be bad enough :/

Hmmmm...those items rarely result in tickets around here. Maybe the tint if it's extreme but not the other 2.
