    What did you make? It doesn't actually split a bearing does it? It splits it off the pinion shaft right? Pic?

    Yes off the shaft. It's basically a wedge that is circular to go inbetween the bearing and pinion. No other way to separate it.

    I haz many pics but still working so give me a few hours :p

    That's interesting... Would solve my problem of the cover being in the way when I grab a beer from the fridge in the back seat. I don't think my zipper piece can be removed but if it can I could spin the cover around so it opens in the opposite direction that the tent opens.

    Holy crap I'm an idiot..

    So I missed that the OEM pinion had a big ass spacer on it. Used my new fancy bearing splitter to seperate it and bam. Damn thing is huge. 0.086 under the bearing. I had nothing on my first test and not 0.020 on my second.

    Thus..shitty patterns.

    So!

    Disassemble again!


    Well...my roller bearing just came apart...:frusty:
