I thnk that is the idea. Hopefully for Sharks fans he signs with the Isles. At that point is all depends on how well the team drafts and develops. It is the way the NHL is now. Chicago was built through the draft and now look at Colorado who should be pretty scary next year.

The American Hockey League has announced broadcast information for the 2014 Calder Cup Finals between the Western Conference champion Texas Stars, top development team of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and the Eastern Conference champion St. John’s IceCaps, top development team of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets.

Leafs TV will produce and air all seven games of the 2014 Calder Cup Finals, with Todd Crocker and Bob McGill on the call and Paul Hendrick and Jon Abbott hosting. Leafs TV will be available during a special promotional “free-view” period during the Finals on most cable systems across Canada; contact your service provider for more information.

In addition, MTS, Shaw and Bell will be making the broadcasts available to their customers in Manitoba; fans can check their local listings or theahl.com for channel information.

The entire Calder Cup Finals will also air on NHL Network in the United States, and satellite radio subscribers can also listen to the action on NHL Network Radio on SiriusXM (Sirius 207, XM 211), which will carry Game 1 and Games 4-7 of the series.

For a guy like Boyle a 4th rounder is a solid return for basically nothing. Lots of quality in the 4 th round of the draft
