Pretty much what Lisa said for Kenai and Kasilof. We dipnet the Copper River GlenAllen fishery. Personal use (below the bridge) limit is 35. We fish subsistence above bridge; limit can be from 200 up to a maximum of 500; of which each household may keep 5 King (Chinook) Salmon, with the remainder either Red (Sockeye) or Silver (Coho) Salmon typically. If you want details, here's the pamphlet they hand out with the cards: http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/static/fishing/pdfs/subsistence/GlenSub08regs.pdf

Agreed, that's a frickin' mess every July. We go down that way in July to launch the zodiac off the beach at Deep Creek to fish for Halibut in the inlet. People always think we're crazy when we say we are there to fish Halibut when everyone and their brother is there to dip net Salmon. :der:

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
200+ a week or so. We have one lined up... so we hope anyway. Erica will make enough to cover day care and have left over cash... which is really in need lol.

If the housing market had gone up, then I would sell the house. But right now it hasn't gone up enough to justify selling after the money I put into the house. If he can't continue to live there, I will start putting the house out on more networks. Right now I have it on a military renter website (ahrn.com). Hopefully he can find a roommate and I won't have to deal with the hassle.

Iowans love Copper River Reds and Kings. They all love it when we bring it back there. Kristi won't eat Kenai Salmon, but she'll eat Copper River Salmon.

:anonymous: We lost 3 nets ($125 a piece) this last trip. Don't even want to do the math on how much it really cost us. But this is why I still work all year, so I can buy toys and pay for gear and gas to fish and hunt every Summer. ;)

    x2 +

Well be more careful with yer stuff! By lost do you mean torn or completely gone in the current? The only reason I hate paying the high price for the salmon is because I know how much the fisherman who caught it actually made on it....of course I have to factor in the freight/transportation costs to get it here to MT. Some friends of mine shipped me a fish the first couple of years that I was here and it cost about the same as what I pay at the store so as long as I can get the good stuff I'll just get it here.

They got caught on something on the bottom. Current moves so fast that sometimes you don't have time to get it loose before it's literally "let it go or capsize the boat." You let it go, lives are worth quite a bit more. Even Randy lost one this trip, and he's been doing this 30 yrs.

Actually yes that would be nice. I need a piece 32"X32". I really need a piece 32" in diameter but that will never happen. I will need to cut it myself. ;)

Ideally it would be #6 x .035 Wire (6 openings per inch)
