Lol I just filled up with Mobil 1 0w-40 with a toyota filter. Chris4x4 made a thread comparing oil filters. They cut them open and looked at the internals. I can't believe the crap they sell on the shelves! The only 2 to be as good as the toyota filter were K&N and Mobil 1. And they cost 3 times as much as a toyota filter haha

Yeah, my dad criticized me for buying toyota oil filters, but I told and offered to show him proof through a test that they were better, although he never looked at it. I have 104,000

Yeah after I saw the test, I've decided that's all I'm gonna use now. The Mobil 1 and K&N were just as good, but they're $12-14 compared to $5.74 haha. I used to use fram. Apparently they're one of the worst. And they found that the Mobil 1 and K&N were exactly the same design. Inside and out. Apparently they're made in the same factory haha. The only difference is the K&N has a nut welded to the bottom for easy take off

I used to run high mileage and then I switched to reg synthetic. I read too any horror stories of the high mileage softening up the seals too much and causing leaks. This oil change I'm running M1 0w-40 and a toyota filter. The new 0w oils have better cold flow, which is where most of your engine wear comes from. And apparently the m1 0w-40 actually shears down to a perfect 30 weight oil. So it works for me. I have a slight tick so a thicker oil can't hurt. The m1 5w-30 has been tested to shear down to a 20 weight oil. That's what I ran last time and I notice a lot of ticking, so I'm interested to see if it's quieter this time. Also, the toyota filters are just as good as the m1 filter. And a lot cheaper haha

Don't listen to "country rap" much but The Lacs have some decent stuff. Jawga boys try too hard to me.
