Good news , he lines up right in front of us

 

I don't mind the change , it 's true the decibel level is down , but the new sound of the turbo spooling up and the generators under braking is pretty cool too .

Before it was painfully loud and that was kinda cool as a spectacle , now it's loud but not the screeching whine that it was , but the sound is pretty cool on it's own merit , and the exhaust note of each different powerplant is different

Vettel had some kind of gearbox issue , they kept bringing his car in through FP2 and FP3 and tearing the rear bodywork off

 

I'm going early tomorrow to catch a race of the Masters HGP series , F1 cars from the 70's and 80's , all their other sessions didn't work out for me time wise , either too early or too late

 

I don't get the NBC feed and won't see the tv coverage till I get home

 

After qualifying they interviewed gene haas, he suggested the possibility of Danica in his f1 car, and that he liked the idea.

The Historic race was awesome

They use a rolling start rather than a standing grid start to cut down on mechanical strain on the cars

The McLaren MP4 killed the rest of the field , lapping about half of the cars during the 25 minute race

Interestingly the cars were loud as shit , but the fastest was lapping at 20 seconds off the 1:15 pace of yesterday's F1 qualifying with the 2014 cars

I enjoyed the nostalgia of the race , including the noise , but the new cars are still more exciting IMO
