this is a pic of my '10 Corolla that I did last week. It's hard to see the ring in this pic, but it's painted black. I did the "demon eyes" black on those lights as well as the BLHM. It takes the right light to see them, and most people won't ever see them, but I can, and that's all that's important to me.
I also did the taco lights the same way, just with blue, again the light has to be right to see them, but I like it.

Depends if you have the 2.5" or 3". You see the lens retaining ring on the 2.5

So I installed everything, but there is a fog swirling inside when they're on. I have no idea what it could be since I waited for days for the paint to cure before I put everything together. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, they're aimed too high and won't adjust any lower. I'm hoping a piece of the bulb is just catching on the housing and I can dremel it out of the way. Haven't been able to check though. If not, any tips for getting it any lower?

The jb weld is getting hot. It happens all the time just set your lights on for a while and your all good. No with the aiming , if they won't go any lower then they won't go any lower....

Swirling is usually imperfections in the lens.

Even brand new lights have it.

Not ON the lens, IN the housing. It looks like literal fog swirling around in there. Or smoke. Or whatever. It looks like shining a flashlight through smoke in there.

Ya. Should leave the lenses off and run your retrofit for a bit. Mine had some smoke inside of them as well.

So my adjustments keep moving around. I'll set them level, and hit a big dip or bump (or just close the hood) and it'll jump higher or lower. I've already decided to open them back up and redo them. But I'd like to avoid whatever I fucked up this past time. If anyone knows what happened I'd love to know.

Did you use the steel stick and jb weld method of holding it together

Maybw that could be the issue or the screw clips for adjusting the head lights

My thought too. I'm replacing it with a spare I have. Hopefully that fixes it.

Mine moved around for a little bit, I was adjusting them for the first week or two. Make sure all the screws are tightened and keep adjusting the beams until you are happy.

Mine are perfect. I took them out to do another customers headlights, slapped mine back in and they still look like this
