I plan on making a sleeping platform using those, Lots of trucks have very similar things actually.

I had no clue. I have been known to stick large pieces of plywood in my truck bed at weird angles and use multiple ratchet straps to hold them. lol

Never paid attention to them, really...

Been driving since I was 16, and I just learned that the little gas tank symbol (where the gas gauge is) has a little arrow pointing to which side of the car your fill cap is located.

    My son told me...

Oh yeah! When I was doing research on Tacomas before I bought it I saw it in a picture or video. It had a chick putting the soil/mulch in the bed then putting the two 2x6 with a sheet of plywood to put her flowers on top of.

But aren't those little metal rings throughout the bed meant for more D-rings? And that clamping is a good idea but sounds like a lot of work!

I learned that after a while too, but I had only been driving a couple years before that :anonymous:
 That is a good idea!

Yep, pretty common on lots of trucks. The feature I was surprised by (since I didn't bother to read most of my owner's manual) was the telescoping feature of the steering wheel; I knew it tilted, but didn't know it telescoped until like last year- and I bought it in '06.
