    It's a government job, so first it gets sent to Texas to have someone decide if my application is good enough and then it gets forwarded to the hiring people. Still hasn't been forwarded.

    It's weird because there's jobs being posted up constantly. I've applied for a lot of them and some of them it took hardly any time for them to be referred/not referred. But this particular one has just been sitting there.

    I didn't have any more decent clips I felt were worth puting in a video. A lot of them were slow sequences on obstacles and would have been fairly boring IMO

    There was a bit of carnage on the run Charles, Will, and I did yesterday near Sherman Pass. It started with Will being late, so Charles and I decided to test hot lead against branches, dirt, and an empty cardboard box. Finally when Will got there, he joined in on the shooting. After that, we got moving on some trails. Shortly into it, Will tried a short hill climb in his DCLB and got high centered. Gotta love the extra long wheelbase. After that, we covered a lot of ground, went over a lot of downed trees on the trails, cut up some so we could get by, and had a lot of fun. About 7:15 last night, we stopped for me to cut a couple fallen trees down for passing, then started again and about 5-10 minutes up the trail, I kept noticing Will wasn't with us. We finally turned around and found him where I cut the last trees down asleep in his truck. At that point, we decided to call it done for the night, and we were about 15 miles of trails away from the highway. About 10 miles from being out, Charles had a bad spot and put his truck into a tree and completely smashed the front end in, and he hit his head pretty hard on the steering wheel. After farting around with pulling his truck out, not being able to turn it. It trying anyway, it went back into a ditch. By that point, we were getting concerned about Charles, so we took him to the nearest hospital about 40 miles away. They took him in, and had him for awhile until his girlfriend got there and took him to a hotel. We went back out this morning and had a tow truck come out as well. The steering wheel is bent from his hard head, and the dash is dented from his dog, Trager. Both seem to be okay today, but tired and a bit sore. The truck looks totaled, and the motor wouldn't run for more than about 2 seconds before choking out. His girlfriend was questioning his ideas in coming out to meet complete strangers from the internet, but by the time we parted ways today, she was happy to know Will and I.

    His front bumper got bent to the point that it was pinning the passenger front tire in place to keep it from turning side to side or rolling. He has some cell phone pics of it, but that is all. Nobody brought a real camera.

    Bleh that is shitty... I hate to be the one to say it but that's why you wear your seat belt... the only time I don't is when I am rock crawling slowly and that is just so I can hang out the window to see my line better.

    I just learned about that trick in Moab last week. Haha it was a bit too inconvenient for me if I had to get in and out a lot. Around here I can just leave the whole seat belt on most of the time but in Moab I found myself leaning out the window a lot more.

    I'm still stunned his head bent the steering wheel. That gives me a headache just thinking about it...

    I actually never though to do that prior to Moab this year either. But I will do it more in the future now.
