Hey thanks for the advice! 4" backspacing with a 285/75 R16 was PERFECT! Not a single bit of rubbing!! Very happy about how it turned out. Now... to replace that rusting front bumper...

Hey what size Halos did you order when you did your retrofit and did you end up going with the white or amber?

That looks awesome what brand is it?

I can tell already I wouldn't be able to park in the parking garage for work, I only have 3 inches clearance as is...

It really wasn't to hard. A good cordless drill like a makita will do the job just fine. All you need is a few different bits so you can progressively make the hole larger. Also something called cutting oil will help you a lot. It's an oil that will speed up the cutting of the bits and make it a breeze.

You'll need to jack it up pretty high to get a good angle from the bottom. I did mine while I was doing the coilovers and control arms so I just removed the entire knuckle and drilled from the top.

After thatnits just a bolt up.

Sweet seems pretty straight forward! I think my drill will be able to tackle the job, if not im sure I can dig one up in my neighborhood. Thanks for the info and I'll be sure to swing by lowes and get some cutting oil. :)

Cutting fluid will definitely help, though if they have wax it might be better as it won't drip as much. What drill do you have? As long as it's semi decent you should be fine just let it cool down a bit if it gets hot. Also keep it slow especially on the larger bits. I've drooled through tons of 1/4" plate with makitas, never had a problem though a corded drill is preferred.

    NP.

Bosch makes decent drills, should work well. As for bits you can sharpen them with a bench grinder, there are a few bids on youtube. Though I often just use a angle grinder if that's all I have:D

Next few weeks. Not sure, I though others did but found they don't tonight. Possibly cause they don't see a need for them, though it seems like a good idea to protect the alignment bolts or whatever they're called.

The lca skids are badass, those plus a full set of skids I wouldn't be afraid of driving my truck over a damn thing, it basically creates a full belly pan up front.

    Thanks for the props nagorb.

And Robby665 you can do it man, I think you will be surprised how quickly the job will go.
