Hmm. I might have to make a trip out to Columbus one of these weekends.

The headlight hoops for my bumper need to mount to the center hoop at a funky angle and was thinking a tube notcher would help me get a better fit then trying to grid out the notch.

 

Not going to miss that. Expecting my new commute to be 24 miles in 20-25 min.

So after installing my plate bumper I have now developed a loud squeak noise coming from my driver side wheel well when turning left. Any suggestions on what it could be?

 

Does it happen at full lock? Or just whenever?

It starts after I make a left turn and continues squeaking at slow speed

Bumper is bolted tight.


It kind of sounded like it was coming from the tie rod when I got out and had someone turn the steering wheel. But I am not sure

 

Get wd40 and spray one joint then drive around. If you still hear it. Spray another joint

Lol. Is wd40 safe to use? I was just reading on yotatech and some people where saying to never use wd40 but instead use sea foam or another product.

 

What's the difference?

 

Something about the wd40 eats up the bushing over time.

I might as well give it a try. I'm going to replace all the suspension by the end if summer anyways

It's because wd40 is a solvent, not a lubricant. one of the best lubes out there for metal on metal that is also rubber/polyeurethane safe is Tri Flow. same company as what people use on their uniballs, but not the dry version. most bicycle shops will cary it. comes in a black and red bottle, or an aerosol can

 

Lol. My goal is to have a nice mid travel setup before the fall semester starts. Luckily I got this summer internship to help fund my build.
