2014 Tacoma Outside Temperature Gauge?

That is a 2014 brochure that i acquired at my local dealership when a buddy bought a brand new 2014 OR that had no compass/temp. I believe they have since updated the brochures so that only the limiteds have the feature

 

I am more than interested, please put together detailed info!
I was trying to find something myself with no luck.

 

If you could scan it in with 2014 text somewhere on the brochure that would be very helpful.

Thanks AR...I called Toyota Corp and they are going to get back to me tomorrow. The way she was talking it must be on the window sticker. Will find out soon and let you know if I get anywhere.

My buddy bought a 2014 4x4 v6 TRD OR access cab and he made the dealer get him a mirror with compass and temp, he didn't really care if it had auto dim or not

 

PMDclassics - let us know what you find out. Did the Toyota rep know what you were talking about? Did you find a bulletin number?

 

My dealer didn't give me my window sticker.. They told me the deatail dept threw it away and they said they can't give me a copy.

 

Def gonna check my window sticker TODAY... I'm pretty sure its on there, but I do NOT have anything more than the basic mirror on my '14 TRD OR DCSB.

 

UPDATE: It is NOT listed on my sticker. Guess I'm SOL.

 

The dealer is legally required to provide the widow or Monroney sticker. It is unconscionable for the dealer to fail in this respect. I would contact their general manager and demand that they either find it or Toyota reproduce it.

My dealer in Las Vegas, Findlay Toyota, did the exact same thing - the detailer must have thrown it out. It took about a month for Toyota to reprint it.

 

Ended up getting a $200 credit for anything I buy at the local Toyota parts dept. You turn in your receipt to Toyota Corp and then they cut you a check for $200 bucks. Better than nothing I guess. Still need to figure out what I am going to do for a temp read out without spending big bucks.

All I want for the temp gauge is a very small display I can basically mount somewhere on the left part of my dash.

Sorry to dig this old thread up, but i see some other were commenting today. So here it is:

I had a 2012 tacoma and traded it in about a month ago for a brand new 2014 right off the truck. The only thing that I really do miss about the 2014, was the mirror. I liked having the smaller backup cam display ON the mirror, because it allowed you to use both the rear view and the display. Its a nice, large display in the center console, but Im not a huge fan. Other thing I can't see to figure out, is the temperature display. My wife has a 2014 Rav4 and on her display, they changed it and it has outside temp on the console next to the clock.

I saw a couple links on the this thread of people saying that they have achieved this by using their phone. Like, a guy showed the "weather" link on his touchscreen and all of the fields were legit.

Whenever I try and use my "weather" button, it says "No HD SIGNAL FOUND" or something like that. I am assuming if I pay for some satellite radio or MX package, it would allow my weather app to retrieve data. So, right now, I have a bunch of features that don't work on it. The weather and everything...

What are my options? I already bought the truck. I would use my android phone to steam the data to the display if I can. I just don't know how.

Also, does everyone on here pay a fee for the weather services? Or is my location just out of range?

 

All great points and questions... my HD, Weather, and traffic all worked at the dealership... but hasn't anywhere else.

I'd also love to have a small temp display... so if anyone finds them, and they're reasonable, please share.

I've got the touchscreen (Entune Plus) and our only option is the Weather App that only works in certain areas.

 

I just traded in my "12 Baja for a "14 Baja. My '12 had displayed on the rearview mirror; backup camera display, compass and temp. I never had a need for the compass display ( hell I know which direction I'm going ), but I did find the temp display handy to have.

When I was driving the '14 home I noticed it did not have the temp display but I figured that it must be there somewhere, nope still no luck. My mirror is the auto dimming model and has 5 buttons; 1 to turn the compass on or off, 1 to turn the auto dimming on or off and 3 ( WTF ) for the garage door remotes.

I've called my salesman, who I've used for quite a few years, and he was just as surprised as me. Still looking into it.
