Good stuff Chad! Whenever I was going to school in Erie I'd go up to the lake a couple of times a year (since it's only warm for like 3 weeks while school is going on.) Never been to the water park though.

One time I was there in like....November. Snow on the beach, and dead birds laying everywhere

We didn't get into the water stuff...maybe next time. Let the kids ride some of the small rides. They had fun. What was up with all the dead birds?

    Still brand new.
Welcome to the Northeast. Snow isnt that bad up here, I wouldnt worry too much. You continue further North, like in NY and up through New England, you may be in trouble.

Bunch of Philly guys on here, feel free to ask any questions or suggestions about the area.

Thanks. Good news about the snow.

Anyways, I'll be there tomorrow.. At a hotel in Salem, VA currently, so I should have a 6-6.5 hour drive tomorrow. Looking forward to getting out of the south and trying something different.

Welcome to Langhorne, I currently live here. No need to worry about the snow, it causes problems only 1-2 a year. Let me know if you have any questions about the area.

    Yeah....I call it...Nuisance Snow.

It's just enough snow that people seem to think they can drive normally in it.

It's just enough to cause people to freak out and go to the stores and buy up all the milk/bread & snow shovels.

Welcome. I just got back from Langhorne, PA. We spent the weekend at Sesame Place - AND WILL NEVER GO BACK. The park was TERRIBLE. We had a 2 day pass and didn't go back the second day (after driving 5 hours to get there).

Instead, we took the little ones to the Please Touch (childrens) museum and had a great time. That is a beautiful area!

And what the hell is with that Bristol Pike road? It's 12 lanes wide and the speed limit is the same on the inner section as the outer section (45mph). We kept missing our turns because we were looking for left turning lanes on the inner road - gotta be in the left lane of the outer road. Confusing as hell. Is there really a need for a 12 lane road?

You mean Roosevelt Blvd. The "Boulevard" was designed as a 12 lane rd. for the traffic coming and going from NE Phila. (at the time more like a suburb) where the more wealthy Phila citizens and business men lived. With the gaining popularity of the automobile making it possible to commute from a further distance, many chose to move out further from the city.

A very dangerous road especially for someone not famaliar with the traffic pattern. The Blvd. offers some of the most dangerous intersections in the country.

Yes...Roosevelt. We saw people using those "access points" to go from the outer 3 lanes to the inner 3 and there were a couple close calls. They're not long enough to be turning lanes and really only one car fits on it. We had someone following us (Tacoma and Explorer) and had to think quickly to get across. It was very dangerous.

Yeah - That's why I always mention Bucks County when someone asks me where I'm from, no one ever knows where Jamison is.
