OK, just about a month ago, I purchased a 2011 V6 Tacoma Double cab with 62K miles on it. The car fax only mendtioned one service at about 5K and had no other service maintennace records, except for new 285/75 16R mudtires with wheel alignment at about 50K miles. From this wonderful forum, I have learned many DIY projects. I changed the oil, spark plugs, rear and front differentials fluids, transmission fluid, crank case fluis, lubed the U joints, and added Westin side steps. Now i feel bored that I cannot "work" on the truck. I checked the maintenance schedules and seems like I don't need to do anything else....

Don't worry - it's a Toyota - it will start falling apart sooner than later and you'll have plenty of fun fixing it back up.

+1 to the modding. Start with some easy and useful stuff like the mirror bracket mod, and the differential breather mod, maybe the intermittent wiper mod. BHLM blacked out headlight mod. Installed D-rings?

Have you cleaned your throttle body yet? The MAF sensor? Ran SeaFoam through your brake line? Coated your underbody (better safe than sorry)? Maybe the ECGS bushing if you're having vibration issues around 40mph? Replace interior lights with brighter LEDs?

LOL I went through something like this a couple months after I bought my Tacoma. They are pretty low-maintenance, and after a while I had to accept that it simply does not need anything. It's a pickup, and I use it as a pickup. I don't use it to get attention, or to cruise around in (have a car for that), or to suck up any spare money in my bank account.

So you have too much spare time? Instead of throwing money at a perfectly good truck just because you can, I suggest looking at one of your hobbies, or get a new hobby. I have seen the mod obsession take over people's lives (and finances, and families, etc). It's not pretty. Don't let it happen to you... unless modding your truck *IS* your hobby. Just a suggestion. Variety is the spice of life. And balance is good.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Put a touch of Lucas fuel treatment in every other fill up. 0 pinging all pulling in my 4 cyl. Impressive shit. [IMG]
