    Toyota had to really stretch to find "cause" to do my reframe....

    NOW, put your sliders on whichever way works for you....and if you want to REALLY throw a wrench into your thoughts...L:):)k at CBI's bolt-on set-up....no welds, no drilling,just big $$$

    I got them from Dane in N.M. also got some LED's for the bed. Hooked them to the battery today & had to put on the:cool:.. Nice super white lights hes selling:)

    Looked & looked for a flat spot facing out to put them but nothing worked. Going to hook them to the side markers just for dawn & dusk running lights:cool:

    Rgr that. And yeah, I did think about the welds burning off the coating on the opposite side, but I figured that was preferable to removing material from a frame that typically needs to be reinforced if someone does some serious wheeling. Yeah, I know the reinforcements are back in the spring hanger area and above the axle, but I didn't want to give it any reason to fail any more fwd.

    Anyway, wasn't commenting on you wanting to bolt them on. Just providing the reason I didn't go that route when I probably could have since the frame plates were drilled for it. Bolting them will probably be easier anyway. At least you don't have to tack them on and then cut them back off once you've got the legs and sliders tacked into position and need to fully weld them.

    Has anyone ever baked a headlight that has the 3m protective film on it? I really don't want to remove it if i don't need to but not sure how it will stand up to the oven.

    I am thinking i could always try and if it messes it up then i could remove it (hopefully) .

    Im not knocking people who weld them on, just stating why I wouldnt. Also I dont think those holes are really meant to be bolt holes. Good bolt on sliders use channel that wraps around the frame and has one hole per plate.
