45,000 miles on it, took in for service.

On my way home, came to stop at light, then proceeded to make a slow right hand turn. truck shuddered , not moving much, then BANG!! like I was rear ended, but then went ok. Drove careful home not to accelerate fast or speed, when I got off the frway, and on surface street doing about 25, 2x it felt like I went over a speed bump with slight shudder again.

Taking it into dealer first thing in the morning as I have a 2k trip this coming weekend for daughters graduation.

Anyone ever had something like that happen?

Standard 45,000 with the package when buying the truck.. Oil change, tire rotation, filters both intake and cab along with oil filter. Check all stuff and inspect. Nothing out of the ordinary.

yeah thats what i was thinking. not sure how thats possible since its only 45k miles and there is no trans dip stick on this truck so its impossible to really tell. hopefully the tech didnt drain your trans fluid on accident. I know it was at a dealership but mistakes happen

No offense to your stealership but all bets are off when it comes to taking a vehicle back to the hen that laid the egg... (not that your truck is an egg, just an old expression.) You'd be surprised at how many brand new vehicles roll out of the new car prep service area (every dealership has one) that are low on fluids, some no fluids, when they turn your new baby over to you... tire rotation ?? I'd go out right now & check for loose or missing lugs

A common complaint is the trans-
mission falling out of gear when com-
ing to a stop, sometimes so harsh that
it feels like someone has rear-ended
you. This happens because the trans has
fallen out of gear due to low pressure,
caused by a faulty SLT pressure sole-
noid. The ECM then ramps up the pres-
sure to max and it slams back into gear.
Replace the SLT solenoid is the fix for
this concern. But before we get into
fixes let’s learn a little about this unit

Very timely article, thanks for sharing.

Learned a couple of things today, it's the front end, not sure how that is affected when vehicle is not in 4x4 but anyway, they are replacing.

Another key learning: The dealer realy does not fix much anymore, they just replace.

Last key learning: Because it has a two inch lift, invalidates warranty. They said a lift of any kind invalidates the 60k coverage.

    The repair will be $2k+

I think I am finished with my good dealer attitude. I break it, I don't have an issue fixing, it breaks without any undue stress or rough driving, don't like the "Well there ya go, that's the problem, should not have taken it off road."

Lifts do not void warranties. Its the law. As do all other aftermarket products. The burden of proof lies on the dealer to prove that the aftermarket component caused the failure. Without such proof the dealer by federal law cannot void any warranties expressed or implied. Look up magnuson moss act

You didn't inadvertently have it in 4 wheel drive on pavement when it happened did you?

That is what it sounds like.

The others are correct that the Lift should not void the warranty.

No, two wheel drive, and to top it off, when I went to pick it up after dealer replaced front differential, did it again about 2 miles away. They had it for the weekend, drove it 30 miles, did not do again. I have lost all confidence in dealership as a parts replacement place, not a repair shop. I also checked with the shop that did the work on my truck early on. They said they did NOT put a lift but rather leveled the rig out.

I plan of disputing the charges and let the good times roll as they also said, everything was done correctly and that the dealer is wrong. Right off the bat, they mentioned the Magnuson Moss Act
