Nice. I was very happy with them. Dan and the guys were awesome to deal with. They were willing to break the leaf packs down for me(for a price) to get the shipping weights down so it could ship usps.

 

I don't think so. I PM'd YotaDan and mentioned TW when I called to order but nothing was ventured. I found their prices fair though.

I'm in Fairbanks and also looking to buy an OME package. Wheelers said shipping would run me about $650 for coils, shocks, Dakars, and UCA's. I need to reduce that shipping cost somehow. You mind sending me a PM with some details as to what you did and paid - thanks man.

I paid $350.64 to have the whole deal shipped up to me in Fairbanks. I purchased through Toytech (toytechlifts.com). Shipping was fast, no problems. See attached screen shots of my emailed receipt:

 

Does this sound right?

2002 Toyota Tacoma TRD Extra Cab V6 with a plate bumper (110 Lbs) and looking to add winch sooner or later.

I'm looking at a full OME lift with 883 coils and dakar leafs.

Would I need a diff drop or extended brake lines for this? Does the 883 coil sound right for a plate bumper? Thanks for any help!

I have an 06 DCSB with an OME lift/Dakar springs in the back. I bought the truck already built, so I'm not sure if it already has the Dakar extra leaf. I carry about 350-400lbs. in the bed regularly, and she sags ever so slightly. I just bought an m1101 humvee trailer (to convert into an offroad camper), which drops her down a bit more (though still not rediculously so).

1. Who knows how many leafs are supposed to be in a Dakar leaf pack so I can figure out if I have the extra leaf or not?


2. If it has the extra leaf, is it safe to add yet another leaf?


3. If it is safe (or I don't yet have the extra leaf) Which is better - add-a-leafs or helper springs?


Note: I'd rather not fork out the extra cash for an air suspension set up if I don't have to.


Note: I don't mind a stiff ride.

 

There is 7 leafs in a standard 2nd gen Dakar pack without the AAL.
Someone else will need to chime in on the possibility/safety of adding another leaf or helper springs to your pack if you do have the AAL. I haven't needed it once I added the AAL to my pack.

 

People do an AAL to the standard Dakar leaf pack without issues, pretty much for the same reason you want to. Not sure on a double AAL though.

 

That's just nuts. Wheelers quoted me $165 to Minnesota which is still high but nothing compared for $350 or even $650.

 

It doesn't seem that shocking that it would be twice as much to ship outside of the CONUS and literally twice as far as to you

 

You do realize that Fairbanks is more than 2,000 miles even from Seattle, right? And it's shipping through another country to get there if they even bring it by land? It's not cheap getting things delivered to Alaska and Hawaii.

 

check Amazon.com i bought some ome rear springs for the same price and free shipping.

 

I'd be REALLY surprised if Amazon honored free shipping to Alaska on something that heavy. Would be awesome if they did though.

Well put. But sadly it's prob still cheaper than shipping to BC.

That's when you find a place that will ship to AK. Were I'm at there is no road to get here, so it's coming by boat or plane. Usually by jet unless you can have a third party shipper put it on a barge out of Washington. Hence the buggering you have to take if you want to ship anything.

 

Back on topic. How common is it to need to relocate the sway bar?

 

Hit or miss , but the relocates are cheap so if I was you I would just add them
