Ya I'm at the military health center there. And as long as I don't have duty it's a go for any weekend this month as of now.

If you are bring the gf's/ wifes there is a nice little place to chill and watch the skydivers and bay if y'all want to picnic. If not we will find food! lol

 

Saturday of that weekend is country fest in lakeside so I cant that day. Lol

 

Maybe Sunday then? Ya my "better half" will be going with me lol.

I would like to go with yall to otay. I just moved back here from Colorado. I would usually just go out on fire roads with my platoon over there in the mountains. But my friends here are into ricer cars so I don't really have no one to go exploring with lol.

 

Looking damn good. I kinda had the same idea just never went forth.

Its not much more than a gravel road. But on clear days you can see the ocean and sometimes some illegals. lol

 

Sounds like a plan next weekend. My wife will be joining in too!

 

Pencil me in for a maybe on this otay trip. i've been really wanting to check that trail out, especially since its just in my area

 

There are a few spots that can get a little interesting...

I live walking distance from otay so I'm down to roll thru!

 

Looks like we are going to run Los Coyotes Indian Rez on the 21st. Connor (Cmack) will be in town so were gonna show him a good time. Probably BBQ at my place on the way back, Ramona is on the way home for most.

This will be a small group, the area is recently reopened and there is a $10 entrance fee for the reservation. The conditions are still a bit unknown after the long term closure. We expect it to be over grown and many of the old trails to be closed or impassable. Hot Dog hill for sure is closed and will remain that way. We will need to keep it clean, respectful and low key. There is still some grumbling within the tribe about allowing the 4wheeling to return on the reservation. Some are on board and some are not so we don't want to do anything to mess it up. This is an awesome resource for us to have locally so we will also be looking at what we can do as volunteers to improve the area, that will go a long way with them.

Because this is an area that has not been wheeled in some time we expect it to be a bit rough. This will be a 4X4 only, with adequate protection. So far we have 3 trucks going and can have just a few more.

 

Count me in if you think the rig is up to it (or the driver)

 

All jokes aside. I expect it to be very overgrown in areas. Beyond that I suspect you will be in good shape. We don't have to attack every difficult obstacle. This will be a bit of a exploratory trip to relearn the area.
