WHat was your wife driving before? Now you'll have a nice pair of Toys in the driveway....or will your stuff be moved out of hte garage to make room for the new wheels?

    More shtuff :(
When the construction industry took a dump in 2008 I took on a lot of odd jobs around the office just to make myself useful and keep busy - job security you know? Well no one seems to understand that the only reason I did all of those jobs was because I didn't have any drawing to do at the time and now there is plenty of drawing to be done so those odd jobs are the least of my concern. They're still asking me if I can do this or that but I just do not have the time.
Lesson to be learned: never, ever volunteer for anything unless you want it to become a permanent responsibility.
why do you need to clean your roof? got dead squirrels piling up out there or something?

That is a good idea

Summer time ATVs and the Ranger, along with fishing gear, coolers, tents, clay launcher, ammo cans, etc, etc live in the garage. Winter time will be the Ranger and the Highlander. Since I work nights, when she's at work I'll put my truck in the garage to thaw. :)

At least thats my plan until I convince her to let me expand the garage a car length deeper. ;)

EDIT: Previous ride was a 2008 Ford Escape; which I was not very fond of and why I started the 4Runner discussion with her a few months ago. Which turned to let's look at Highlanders too; and now you know the rest of the story. Bottom line: I instigated the new ride idea; she just suddenly got serious about it.

Indeed it does not. And getting someone else to pick it up once you've taken responsibility is extremely difficult. :(

Moss, mold and lichen, roof is pretty ugly and the first thing you see when you pull in the driveway. I'll post an "after" picture when it is done. The roof is actually in reasonably good shape under the stains.

 So you only have yourself to blame for the new purchase....and you should consider a his and hers garage set up

    Not for you Boydster

eww....I'm sure it will look good as new when they're done. Your climate must drive shingle manufacturers crazy, wonder how many warrantee claims they get? Much too dry out here for that to be a problem

The guys are still here, the roof is looking pretty good about now. I'll get a picture after they leave if the weather cooperates. The roof is 25 years old BTW. Front side gets very little sun, and we have a bunch of big trees in the yard to hold in the moisture.

Anyone in the garage want a set of Weathertech side window deflectors for an extended cab, 2008? I took them out yesterday and I'll send them to whoever wants them. Just send me a PM with your address and they are yours. I'll put them in the "pay it forward" thread if no one here is interested.
They're in perfect shape, just need cleaning. I'll post if someone claims them. Here is an old picture with them in.

    Yep, that's what I envisioned.

Yep, like I said, now you know the rest of the story.

Wish I had space for a second garage/workshop. (Shut up Adam).

Somebody getting a great deal. Very generous Dave.

We use a roll of zinc when doing problematic roofs. Not sure if it works because I'm not old enough to have had to go back to reroof a house yet.
