The Powertanks can be filled with nitrogen for shock testing, but they require a different regulator and nozzle, IIRC.

I'll make some calls today to confirm.

You can run em from your seat if it's all plumbed up for that application. I might do it for redundancy purposes. I love my Powertank. It's so much better than on board air. You can also walk it to another vehicle if the situation calls for it which cannot be done with an oba system.

 

Worlds apart in quality. Powertank is hands down the leader in the co2 industry. From their regulator down to the connectors all top of the line components. And, American made.

 

I actually picked up a 10lb powertank kit shortly after I last posted in this thread. refilled it twice, and used it a ton since buying it. couldn't be happier, and am actually wanting to buy a second 10lb kit so that i can have a backup tank, instead of using my small compressor as a backup.

 

It's great. I use mine all the time at work. On one tank I framed 20' of wall installed 14 interior doors and trimmed them out and inflated 2 35's from 8lb to 35lb. That's pretty impressive.
