it's been awhile since i've posted here - but nice price anyways.

i got the same truck and options except i got the off road package extra value package ($3,860), some bs connectivity package $49, bs clear bra (hood package) $399 and an extra value package msrp discount $435 which put the total msrp at $34,602

I ended up getting a ~$5,500 discount off the msrp or $29,137. OTD was only $29,801 thanks to the $300 sale tax cap, bs $289 dealer fee and $75 for title & tag.

Just came home with mine. 14 MGM DCSB 4x4 w/nav 33,400 OTD, taxes not included. Got it in Vegas, so gotta register it here CA then pay 8% in taxes. trade my 06 w/152k miles, they gave me $10k for it. I was satisfied as they will find out it needs some things...Im happy.

    Not enough...
Would you mind explaining the process how this works? I'm in San Diego and checked Vegas prices last night and they list everything 2-3 or even 5K cheaper than the same cars here. I'm trying to see if the price advantage will outweigh the hassle of buying a car there and transferring it to CA

The way it generally works is, you pay taxes wherever you buy it (exception would be if you bought it online and had it shipped to you) and you then would be responsible for the difference in tax compared to where you are registering it. For example, the state where you pick it up from charges 6% sales tax but your home state where it will be registered has a 8% sales tax. You would be responsible to pay 2% sales tax to your home state. If the reverse were true (bought at 8% but home state charges 6%), you would not get a credit.

That's the way I understand it anyway.

EDIT: You may not have to pay sales tax out of state even if picking it up if you are a resident of another state and therefore, registering in another state. Same logic would apply though, in that you would pay your home state tax rate at time of registration.

I just tucked my new Taco away in the garage!

    2014
    Standard Cab
    2.7L I4
    Manual Transmission
    4x4

    I paid $22,277 before TTL.

I called yesterday and told them I'd give em 20K and head right over if they were in. The price I paid was their rebuttal and I haven't seen anyone do much better so I figured I'd take it! (They made sure to let me know they weren't making any money on it.. Pff..Yeah, right.) It was damn nice to have this forum as a reference during the search. Lots of good stuff here.

I paid no sales tax in Oklahoma.
I brought the paper work back to Texas.
Registered in Texas and paid Texas sales tax.

I traded in my 2006 mazda 6 with 180,000 miles and work needed..they gave me a whole $1000! -__- but I walked out of the dealer at 28,975 OTD.. I feel I got a good deal..

We did not pay NV taxes. we pay taxes when we register it here, you pay taxes according to your zip code. it was very easy and if you want a reason to go Vegas, well here it is. We enjoyed the whole experience, they were very nice/professional. if interested, let me know, I can set you up with the person i dealt with.

Just sold my 2005 AC PreRunner TRD OR and now I am in the market for a 2014 TRD OR DCSB. I found one with an MSRP of $35,345 and dealer is asking for $33,434. They say it's $200 over invoice, but Edmunds invoice is $32,721. Only difference I can see is that Edmunds did not calculate for advertising fees. This would be a difference of $514. Is this what folks are paying for ad fees?
