    I like the XDs, but when I went to buy my a new 9mm the XD that I was looking at kept locking up on the guy behind the counter. That was discouraging to say the least. I ended up with a S&W MP9.

    I am going to revisit the XD when I look at a 45.

    What do you mean locking up? Sounds like someone didn't know what they were doing.

    My wife has the XD9 subcompact and loves it.
    I have the XD45 compact- it goes everywhere with me.

    I think that is exactly what was going on. He had no clue. He couldn't get it unlocked. He couldn't get the clip out. He couldn't break it down. (and so on...)

    So, when he pulled out the MP9, I took it from him and showed him how it was done (and I have only been handling pistols for 2 years). :rolleyes:

    I am looking at the XD45cpt for my next gun...
