I have 6 inch douche bag lift with custom kings front and rear.
even have the mid travel kings for the 3 inch lift before this.
Both kings and icon are adjustable coil overs. You can raise and lower the height of the front. Different spring rates will help depending on how much extra weight you decide to slap om the truck.

For buying aftermarket you may need to do some shmoozing, say get a VIN off of a Baja on a dealer lot and buddy up to a parts guy at the dealership to order the kit. If you read the "Because Baja" thread you'll see it's kind of a PITA.

I've read the posts below your original and I'd say 100% of them have never drove a 2012+ Tacoma with the Baja suspension package. In fairness, I've never driven a 2012+ Tacoma with an ICON or King suspension package. But, I've had a few Toyota trucks and driven them over the same roads, and this Baja is a superb suspension package.

It's cost effective compared to an OME (goes "clunk" over speed bumps. Really? Spend $1000 and it can't handle SPEED BUMPS?) or ICON stage I for $1500 with no rear remote resi's, and you have to spend more for extended length shocks. The Baja already has extended length shocks front and rear, tuned specifically for 2012+ Tacoma Access Cabs and Double Cabs.

Then, you run into "my VSC goes crazy, I almost ran into opposing traffic because I lifted my truck." That doesn't happen with the Baja package. Why? Because TRD designed it specifically for THEIR trucks.

You won't get a shitty drive from the Baja package. Shortly after I put it on I was cruising along the interstate at 70 mph and a person decided to slam on their brakes for no reason in front of me. I checked the left mirror, saw a gap, downshifted, flicked the wheel left hard, flicked it back right hard and bam-bam I was in the next lane easy-peasy and accelerating. Offroad, same beautiful handling.

I do go on about it, eh? On the other hand, have you driven a Baja suspension equipped truck? No? Ok, then, shut up and don't even make a comment. Thanks in advance for your anticipated cooperation. :)

I kid, you're a good guy. Make comments as you please.

No, no recalibration after the Baja kit.

Yes, the 285's are a problem. I don't see how they're even necessary since they only provide 1" more ground clearance over a 265/75/16. It's goofy to put them on for looks considering all the problems introduced. One inch more ground clearance doesn't amount to jackcrap really when you consider the problems introduced.

    Bullshit
It doesn't happen because the VSC is calibrated with the baja height and tires on it.

Well , that's interesting because you need to do a zero point calibration after any change to the suspension , even just swapping stock parts for stock parts , it's in the FSM

I have an SR5. It handles beautifully with the Baja suspension package, both onroad and offroad. No recalibration.

Oz, the Baja suspension is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the 2012+ Tacoma Access Cabs and Double Cab short beds. Six-lug 4WD with 265/70/16 tires.

I have an SR5 six-lug 4WD with 265/75/16 tires, the Baja suspension I put onto it works beautifully both onroad and offroad. No recalibration, no VSC going crazy, it's badass. It handles washboards uphill and downhill beautifully at highspeed, and that's the true test of a suspension, IMO. That tells it all.

Hello , hello ..... is this thing on ?

You need to recalibrate your VSC everytime you alter your front suspension even if you are just swapping out factory parts for factory parts

Just in case you weren't aware , the FSM only addresses the application of factory Toyota parts

    Who installed it?

You didn't answer his question about the alignment.

Yes, after I put the Baja suspension on and the 265/75/16's onto the stock 16x7 wheels. Works fine, been to Utah, Nevada, Colorado mountains, towing a trailer. It's a dynamite all around suspension.

If the tech followed the toyota guide then the VSC was calibrated.
