Which Branch of the Military?

Yea pretty much, but to me I'd prefer it over enlisted any day. Figured im in college why not just do ROTC now then enlist later. I'm planning on joining the reserves after college and obtaining a civilian job as well. We'll see how that works out.
I'm excited for it tho and can't wait to get out and do what I can for the country that has given me so much.

hey man why dont you join now? my buddy at my unit is in rotc and in the reserves. we also got some prior active duty cadets that are about to get their commission.

 

I want to make sure I can make it through college on a steady plan then go From there. i haven't contracted yet either with them, my parents are wanting me to "Try it out" before I make a commitment I figure I dont 'have' to commit till junior year anyways so why rush it just in case I change plans, you know? I just want to make sure I find whats best for me before jumping in 100%

 

I was in Army ROTC at the school I used to go to for the same reason. Wanted to join the military but I was in college so I figured I'd give ROTC a try.

What I learned was that I didn't want to be a part of the certain BN that my school was a part of. I want to join the military now more than ever (went from being in Army ROTC to wanting to enlist in the Corps), but if you read on the other page...it isn't looking good at all.

 

yeah true, well good luck to being a officer man. I personally and this is just me have more respect for guys that go from green to gold since they know what its like being enlisted and they from my experience take care of soldiers better than guys that go to school and become officers. i dunno maybe its just my exp though.

 

I have had the same experience.

 

If I were able to enlist and enjoyed it, the green to gold type thing (that's an Army program) is what I planned on doing.

 

i Know its different, but at the same time i have the utmost respect for those guys and i feel like they are better for doing it, im not trying to put myself on top and be cocky about it, i have to earn it and work on gaining respect, it won't just come to be when i commission.

I did Red flag there for a month. I had an absolute blast in Vegas. Air Force chicks are awesome!!!

 

right on man, nellis was my first choice for places to get stationed. love the desert and vegas is just too much fun.

I feel your pain. There are a bunch of marines here right now. And some of the woman.

 

Dont get me wrong we got some fine ass Marine chicks but they are faw and few in between. That and the airforce girls are way easy. LOL good times..
