lol that's the mud that got under the carpet, not rust. On the bright side now I can just pull the drain plugs and hose it out, I just can't get to a water source under it's own power.

Roxspin helped me get the replacement exhaust up and it should be getting towed off tomorrow. Finally.

    I hate mud.

PS - Never did get to eat my lunch that day :p

Yea or I can just never drive through mud again. A lift won't save my oil pan, transmission, transfer case, diffs, hubs

I'm stuck between sliders/partial exo, tires, and snorkel at this point. One saves body panels, one gives me belly clearance saving expensive parts, and the other saves my engine. *grumble* My 07 never did this shit  Of course my 07 had all of the above.

The hole was quick sand, I stopped sinking when the skids hit the rut. Tires and lift wouldn't have saved me. A solid front axle maybe. But not a bigger IFS lift.

So what started with words like "warranty" ended with words like "broken piston rod", "what the hell is it doing?", "new engine", "used engine", "drag into the middle of a pond and sink it", and finally "no it's probably not going to be covered under warranty, call your insurance."

Started claim today. I'll talk with my adjuster on Wednesday and hopefully an inspector can get out by the end of the week. Once insurance says they'll cover it the engine is coming out and during tear down if they find part failure the warranty kicks in and covers it. Otherwise, insurance pays. Right now it's just me being a dumbass.

As far as URE goes, it shouldn't take 2 months to swap the engine so I'll be out there, but I'll sure as shit be riding with someone else while my junk looks pretty back at camp. It's playing days are over and now it's strictly camping.

On the upside, the whole service dept at Pinehurst Toyota is awesome. I was in the shop under the hood with'em and they were doing what they could to get the service manager to approve the warranty coverage. Thus far I haven't had to pay for the tow out to Pinehurst or the diagnosis.
