White with black wheels and accessories looks the best IMHO.

plus my black shows every scratch and grain of dirt, white is much easier to get clean and scratches dont show up

i agree, i dont like the fender flares on the rugged trail. but that at least gives you an idea of what it looks like.

Really? I really like the the contrasting appearance. If I can ever afford a new truck, it'll be a silver Rugged Trail doublecab. I like how the wheels and fender flares are IN YOUR FACE!

it does give me a heads up on the look.... but i think i could just get the regular wht double cab maybe and then get some aftermarket blk wheels

dunno... i am going to the dealer today... i love black trucks but the thought about it showing lots of scratches and keeping it clean does seem like something i would have to worry about

Thanks for all the input so far though....

My Tercel I used to have was silver and it was my favorite vehicle color. Black looks great, but it's a bitch to maintain. My wife had a black 04 Highlander with gold plated emblems. It was pimp, but I had to wash it way the hell to much!

if they actually painted those flares black, they'd look better to match the wheels, but leaving them looking raw and not matching the glossy appearance of the wheels is crap

Raw looking is good. It is, after all, the Rugged Trail Edition.

it just looks like someone forgot to paint them...since they are painted on the regular offroad and the sport, and they look great, they should to the same for the "rugged" trail

I'm used to the unpainted look I guess. The only painted flares on the 1st gens are on the Limiteds.

    That's a great looking truck. I like it's simplicity.
