    Hello all, I'm new to this forum, and a brand new Taco owner! (never owned a Toyota before in my life!)

    Read this thread with great interest. I am curious to know about the fan noise - is that an issue? There was a poster on page 8 or so that said the fans "snarled" or something like that (too lazy to go back and look). Is there obnoxious fan noise?

    How did the LED bulbs work out in the rain? Any issues with interference with Entune radio?

    This seems like a good mod and a LOT less trouble than HIDs. Hoping for some good insight into these things!

    P.S., website says they are out of stock?

    Not a very good indication of the fan noise as most of the noise you hear is coming from outside the truck and not the light itself.
    They are actually very quiet. This video was taken with just the lights turned on. No engine. If the engine was running you will never hear the fan on the lights.

    I should have left the garage door shut.

    As far as rain / washing goes I've never had a issue at all. They work perfectly for me. That said, I think the consensus here is they tend to work better in the +12 headlights.

    The only difference, is that HID's will throw strong light a usable distance down the road........and these do not.

    Taking pictures of light beams is highly misleading, unless you're using a camera with manual exposure controls, which 99% of people aren't doing.

    The built in light meter in every cell phone and point & shoot camera just makes an automatic adjustment and makes the light look brighter than it really is.

    Even my crappy high beams can look bright if I use a cell phone to photograph it.

    That was taken with my DSLR at a set exposure.

    A few of the other pictures were taken with my phone and you are correct. Those can be misleading. But even if, I think we can agree that the light pattern with the high beam (at least in my truck) is adequate.
