TBH though I really want to cage it as soon as I can. Stupid ifs make it so tippy and I dont want to have to deal with damaging the body and mounts because I flopped it. But who puts a cage on an IFS rig?

I had to explain this to andy because he wanted to do the same thing.

If you take a bunch of shitty toyota leafs, from different shitty leaf packs (they are toyota leafs so they are all shitty) and put them together in one, you still just have a shitty fucking leaf pack that will be no different than before, but with MORE SHITTY LEAFS!

Just go find a junk yard and get some half or 3/4 ton leaves and use a couple of the longest ones (that arent the main leaf) to help out a bit more.

 

Because even junk yard chevy springs are better than the flaccid spring toyota has on there. You arent adding any springs that will increase the weight capacity. They all have about the same softness and use sag.

 

If you think so. It just looks like another band aid to me that you will end up disappointed with and wonder why the hell it didnt work. Just work it out and do it right the first time.

 

Jobs exist..or so i think they do. I work 25ish hours a week and pulled straight As last semester. Its not impossible.

Well was planning on putting the finishing coat of black wheel paint on my wheels today but wouldn't you know it. Colorado has the rare cloudy, cool and humid weather going on.

Will have to wait until it gets warmer and drier.

But yesterday I prepped and primed.

Thanks dude. My garage roof is lower and is unfinished trusses, but the rigging etc. is the tricky part, and I can probably work it so most of the rigging is above the lower beam of the trusses.
