I think you're being a dick about it. All I said was I was annoyed by your original post. You have no clue what I do with my money as far as charity goes, so for you to post in an open forum in a manner suggesting that anyone reading it is an unpatriotic asshole is fucked up.

I understand your point and I appreciate the effort you put into it. If it was an event that was actually local instead of 3 hours away from me (iirc) then I would've definitely been there if work allowed.

For all you know I could've donated a lot of money to the charity but since I didn't give the money to you to donate, you are under the impression that I didn't donate.

I've gotten away from being as charitable as I used to be, because to be honest I don't trust charities anymore than I trust our government. I know there are charities out there that are more honest than others, but I do know there are some that donate less than 5% of the proceeds to the actual cause.

yea thats good. just don't post stuff afterwards saying shit about us because we didn't go. I donate as much as I feel comfortable with, and its none of your business. you shouldn't try to guilt trip people into donating because then you just give the impression of a scum bag salesman. people don't like being pressured.. if they want to donate, good. if not, whatever. its going to be okay either way.
